Stuart McCall is the new Scunthorpe Manager

round and round we go .. a conservative/consolidating appointment to take over a team that has lost most of its best players in the close season .. he's got a tough job on his hands .. will he last the season ? ..
  • Reckon its time to put an end to the Aussie's hopes of a takeover here at Charlton

Notts County have asked Crawley for permission to speak with Harry Kewell
  • Harry Kewell new Notts County manager

New manager to be named tomorrow. Clubs these days have no respect towards anyone. Okay Bradford haven’t had the greatest of starts by any means, but 6 games is nothing. Stupid time to sack someone when the window has just closed too.

Been replaced by David Hopkin (ex-Palarse) who had done so well with Livingston

interesting how managers who have got experience in the Scottish leagues are attracting attention down south

Sent off today as his team are 4-1 down ATM.
  • Michael Duff has returned to Cheltenham Town as Manager

If he's as good for them as he is as a player for them on Champ Man 01/02 (Always my first signing regardless of the club I'm managing) then they've just hired the greatest manager in history

Teak Tough Duff ((:>) .. old fashioned take no prisoners, show no mercy centre half
  • Havent seen this on here yet but Keith Curle was appointed as Northampton Manager

Didnt even realise that they'd sacked their Manager

Another example to show how well Lee Bowyer is doing as Bradford | Northampton | Scunthorpe all started the season with Managers who'd been promoted within the club yet all have been sacked - Shows as well the lack of time that new Managers are given too though
  • Lee Bowyer next manager sacked then?

Chris Wilder did an amazing job there, when you consider the financial shambles behind the scenes. An impossible level of success to follow

Bet their fans feel a bit hard done by... Destroyed League Two in the end yet lost their best player and manager before the dust had barely settled - Now look at Accrington | Plymouth | Portsmouth | Luton etc. and how they're doing and it must annoy some of their fans

Plymouth, Portsmouth and Luton are all much bigger clubs though, especially Pompey and Luton. Smaller clubs get poached, that's the reality of football. If they hadn't gone up, Northampton might have lost even more players, when you look what happened to Shrewsbury...

  • Macclesfield have sacked Mark Yates...
  • Macclesfield have sacked Mark Yates...

an example of taking over another man's successful team after Askey moved on to Shrewsbury .. he did a good job at Solihull .. this seems a bit premature despite Maccas bad start to the season
  • 3 year contract, sacked after 16 games in charge!
  • So who'll take over @ Brentford now that Dean Smith has gone to Aston Villa

Cant say I'm surprised seeing that Smith is a supporter of Villa (sounds like his Dad was a Steward there the way he spoke about them on the Radio when I was coming home from Charlton on Saturday) - Certainly be big shoes to fill as have always liked him as a Manager, you just got a feeling that Brentford will still pick the right man... Probably Bowyer knowing our luck
  • Konsa player manager
  • Could do worse than ask Mark Warburton to come back.

Too busy making crumpets for the muppets
  • Hurst lasted long, should never have left Shrewsbury

example of a great success in L1 just not making the grade in the champ .. still, the owner is tighter with his cash than Ashley and Duchatelet put together
