On the other hand you have to suspect that the Tanning Shops in Swindon are about to take a big hit
There again Phil Brown seems to be the lower league version of Mark Hughes | Alan Pardew in terms of there always being one club who'll be prepared to give him a job
Sad for Ardley to leave Wimbledon, but they've not been playing well.
Would Euell want to go there? Yes it's his club, but it's a step backwards as well, a club with a very small budget who will never progress any higher realistically
Great chance to get his name on the Managerial rung though if thats what he wants to do
Ardley has probably made the mistake by staying too loyal to Wimbledon (I dont know if he had the opportunity to go else where) yet by being sacked from there instead of walking into another job I imagine it'll be harder for him to progress without taking a step back himself
Ardley has been linked with the Swindon job. Perhaps Phil Brown can take over at Wimbledon!
Euell just got the role with The FA and England youngsters. It would be mightily difficult for him to do that new role as well as being the manager of AFC Wimbledon.
I get the attraction when he has previously been at the club and is very fond of them. However, it would be a dangerous one to go into and could ruin his managerial career before it has really fully begun. They're a small club in this division who haven't been getting results for a long time and are desperately struggling to score goals since we got Taylor. If he was to go to them and they get relegated, it could do him more harm than good when he has done such an excellent job with our under age groups and now moving forward with the role with The FA and England.
His time will come in management I am sure, but I do question as to whether that time is now.
Wonder if Macclesfield will be tempted seeing that they've not replaced Mark Yates
Wonder if Paul Hurst is speaking with his old Chairman again...
Holloway 4/1, Hurst 5/1. Tempted to have a flutter on Hurst - obviously don't know if he'd want to go back, but I suspect he's the first number their chairman will be dialling.
Richie Wellens seems favourite for the Swindon job
Was disappointed when Oldham sacked him as he seemed to be doing quite well at the start, I know they got relegated under his wing yet didnt help when they lost Eoin Doyle for a large patch of the season
Dangerous job for Euell if he went to Wimbledon. Thing they've hit their ceiling for a few years, and they'll always lose people like Taylor, so League 1 midtable is maximum

And any money they have will be going towards their new stadium
Euell played for Wimbledon.....the club that won the FA Cup in 1988. AFC Wimbledon weren't formed until 2002.
jeez.....really boils my piss.
Whilst I completely disagree with your stance on this, he actually played for both. You might want to get your lawyers to warn The Telegraph about their repeated description of Jason Euell's "return" to AFC Wimbledon though.
Harry Kewell sacked by Notts County. He lasted 10 weeks!
I imagine Kevin Nolan is amused
Nolan is a very spikey character and I wonder if he pissed the Notts C players off so much that they've downed tools for good .. pure conjecture of course

If so wouldn't there have been a 'new manager effect' and the players started to do well under Kewell?
Given that Notts County lost out in the play offs last season and were the bookies favourite to win League 2 at the beginning of this, their decline to 3rd bottom has been rather meteoric.
I’m not saying that one player made them a team who could’ve got promoted last season, but Jorge Grant who they had on loan last season was absolutely massive for them. Scored a whole load of goals from midfield and everything went through him. He is now at Luton on loan from Forest.
Sometimes a hangover from the play offs and losing your most influential player can really damage a club, we have seen it many times before. Then going from an inexperienced manager in Nolan to a slightly less inexperienced manager in Kewell is probably not what they’ve needed.
They probably need a good wise old head who knows how to get results in a struggling position. I’d say someone like John Sheridan but he is currently at Carlisle.

Shrewsbury are probably another example of this (not getting to keep Dean Henderson from Man Utd will have been a blow) and is probably why we're seeing a different random team challenging at the top of the tables each year these days because of the randomness of the loan market

Shrewsbury also lost their best player and best defender to Ipswich

Carlton Morris (Bastard!!) | Ben Godfrey | Max Lowe who all returned to their parents clubs will have been difficult to replace who were also instrumental though, the last two appear to be getting a handful of minutes at their parent clubs now too

Cheers, thought he'd stayed @ Derby after seeing him start a few games at the beginning of the season

Sneaky bastards to get all that done behind his back
