sums the bloke up. he's been blaming his players, his coaches, the fans, this takeover and now he resigns. bet he still thinks his a master tactician and a great coach. deluded prat.

He's now blaming Roly that he can't resign! Take some responsibility Robinson.
Never understood when someone resigns only for it to be rejected why they don't just walk. What's the difference?
Only conclusion in such instances is that either the individual is gunning for something else (pay rise, longer contract, new chair) or it's no more than a public gesture with the aim of winning someone over (workforce, customers etc).
If he wants out, then go. If he wants to stay then stop throwing up endless smokescreens and excuses and knuckle down to trying to salvage the season.
Exactly, the solution is gardening leave and it has to be done now- we have a game to prepare for on Saturday - If we by some miracle were to win it, we would be back in contention for a play off place!!!
1) He is not sure who Karl Robinson is or what he does 2) Even if he is, he realises that nobody would apply for the job anyway in the current climate of utter uncertainty
This doesn't smell right. If this is a genuine resignation offer, i.e. I'll go now with no termination fee payable by either party then:
- Roland gets his salary off the wage bill. Roland wins; - The deal is sweetened for the new owner doesn't have to incur the cost of sacking him. The new owner wins; - Tarbuck gets to go and talk bollocks and make lots of excuses. The scouser wins.
So it can only be the possibility of earning some compensation from Oxford.
Also, why has Rich Cawley "sat on this for a while". If he offered his resignation before the Blackpool game, so a week ago, why not break the story then? What's happened/changed that makes it okay to break it now but not okay to break it last week. As far as I can see, he's just let the News Shopper steel a march on his "exclusive".
Just see a post in a Facebook group (not by Ackworth etc.) that the club are getting ready to release a statement to confirm that Robbo has walked and that Harry fooking Kewell is coming in?
I know this is probably bs so don't shoot the messenger, I just thought I'd share it on here.....
Euell didn't want the first team position last time he was offered it on a caretaker basis. Would he take it this time?
If I was Euell I wouldn't want it either
Exactly, a real poisoned chalice. Would hate for one of our heroes to be dropped in the deep end - trying to manage and motivate players who clearly have no confidence and probably don't give a toss. Takeover first, then a new man at the helm.

That’s not the case. There’s many reasons why stories don’t always get released straight away.

We have nobody who cares whether we win, not the owner, manager or players, and no-one else around it seems.

for me the only one who could turn this round at least short term is Alan Curbishley in some role
Why would he? Nothing to gain, everything to lose, and working for Europe's less orange answer to Donald Trump in front of crowds smaller than he used to get for reserve games.

It’s all beyond farcical now.
Take some responsibility Robinson.
One low to the next please just sell the club ASAP Roland so we can hopefully get back to watching a club/team with a tad bit of amibition.

; )
The Charlton we have loved in the past is long gone, I don't think anyone can turn much around until Roland has gone.
