The Judge found against the plaintiff Mr Robinson today at Southwark Crown CourtMuttleyCAFC said:The problem for Robbo is if he resigned and claimed constructive dismissal based on lies and broken promises, he would probably win, as Curbs did with West Ham. But it does not go well for you in the football world if you do that!
"While I concur that Mr Duchatelet has made your job difficult, by constantly playing the same 4-2-3-1 system despite it failing week after week, you contributed to your own failure. Give 4-4-2 or 3 at the back a go FFS"22 -
Not sure normal rules apply with RD. He’s not someone who talks to other owners at matches or is going to be respected by them.MuttleyCAFC said:The problem for Robbo is if he resigned and claimed constructive dismissal based on lies and broken promises, he would probably win, as Curbs did with West Ham. Can the last one out turn the lights off2
-
Great idea, he can start by back filling the ditch and then make start on the Pierre Bolangi Memorial Garden.MuttleyCAFC said:Exactly, the solution is gardening leave and it has to be done now- we have a game to prepare for on Saturday - If we by some miracle were to win it, we would be back in contention for a play off place!!!

Robinson can resign and walk away no one can force him to stay itszmore bullshit from Cheif bullshitter KR6

What is the fat scouse lush up to?
Was it just lager fuelled loqaciousness? "...yeah ann I'm gonna resahrn too ann all roly..." hic
Has he been tapped up by the clown at Oxford but told to get himself out cos 'Tiger' doesn't want to cough up any compo? - this assumes that squirrel face and her rabble wrote anything of the kind into gobby's contract, cos she was good at all that, just ask Alou.
Did AD give KR the hint his contract had exploitable gaps in it?
Is Karl a devious grasping wretch trying to screw every last penny out of the turmoil? - this assumes he has the necessary grey matter to spot a chance.
We know KR's had agency/management contacts in recent times, so are they sticking their oars in looking to profit from uncertainty - there's always a buck to be wrung out of discord and disharmony?
Is there anything much in Cawley's stories? He's usually fairly reliable.
Even if this is just so much guff, some of the players will downgrade their opinion/respect/regard for KR. The season's already dead and now the gaffer's desperate for the out door, so cigars alight boys we'll just jog about to keep warm, no need to risk injury or fatigue.
The stakeholders guaranteed to be out of pocket here are, of course, we supporters, with ever declining results to further sour the total absence of entertainment since christ remembers when.
My views on the current Charlton manager have been intimated once or twice previously but my chief concern is always the best possible/least harmful outcome for the club as a whole. If the fat pissed dunce is the least bad option for now, so be it. The current situation is both preposterous and critical. The next situation has to be considered, fully-formed, holistic. A sticking plaster "interim"/"caretaker" bodge would be worse ffs.
Karl: if you're not sure you want to stay - grow a pair, make a decision, clear off, don't look back and don't be a scum sucking parasite for the sake of a few grand. If you actually want to make the best of the mess you find yourself in, keep your head down, do your naffing job, look up a few definitions like "goal scorer", "set-piece routines for defenders/strikers", "left-footed", "right-footed" maybe formations with actual support for strikers.

How much compo does Robbo want? Can we have a whip round?7
-
Spot on. Robinson wants out, because he’s been tapped up by Oxford. Don’t let him anywhere near the 1st team and let him sit at home for a bit. If oxford want him, they’ll come in with a compensation offer. In the meantime, stick Bowyer and Jackson in charge to see if we can salvage something from this season. If Oxford manage to make an offer, let KR go, but if it’s not acceptable sort it out in the summer. If Roland sells up before then, it’ll be someone else’s problem! The Red Robin said:Stick him on gardening leave if he doesn't want to be here. What a mess we are and how shady is Robinson?!

and still some on the facebook group will say get behind the team and robbo
do one Karl you northern gobshite - cheers for wasting a season, any manager with anything about them could get a tune out of the squad we have - but they clearly don't respect him and some of them are quite lazy and dont want to be here.2 -
Of course, this could all be media bullshit and have no factual basis, but hey-ho it's got us keyboard warriors on our tippy-toes!0

An owner who doesn’t want to be here.
A manager who doesn’t want to be here.
Probably some players who don’t want to be here.
And yet they are all still here. I think that’s the definition of a disfunctional organization.7 -
I offered my resignation letter to my wife which she rejected - 8 years later...
Moral of the story, Gobby is going to be with us for 8 more years.3 -
I'm not sure what 'offered to resign' means. He either resigned or he didn't - and if he resigned then Roland can't refuse to accept it. Resignation is a unilateral act.13

The club is a shambles
If RD truly cared about his interim role overseeing management whilst we are in the process of being sold, he’d be more on top of this
I suspect he’s simply a mouth piece if Roland asks him to do something
Whilst I feel for KR on the basis I think he put a shift in over the summer and wants it to work, I think he’s probably talked himself into a situation whereby he’s losing credibility. I look at his whole approach versus someone like Chris Hughton for example, and think that the mantra less is more would be ample here. He loves to talk, but I think he talks so much he says things that contradict on a regular basis. It’s not this, it was the car park as well

I agree. Maybe we should all jump ship and support another club. There's one down the road and apparently it's in a nice area.MuttleyCAFC said:

The real mystery is why another club would want Robinson FFS??8

Or maybe we should do everything we can to get this poisonous owner out. When he goes, things will start to improve.3

"I asked Roland if he thought there is someone better than me to run this Football Club as I will always put Charlton Athletic above my own interests... He said he is happy with my performance as Manager of this team, so if its good enough for him, its good enough for me and should be good enough for the fans"Baldybonce said:

Getting our manager poached by Oxford United.
and him wanting to go!!
We've sunk so low. I'm so depressed about everything CAFC.0 -
Just had a text in from my wife's nephew, an Oxford fan, "What can Oxford expect from Karl Robinson then?".
Suggestions?9 -
I just saw 133 new posts and optimistically ploughed my way through all of them ..... yet Robinson is still here!
Can't someone offer to drive him to Oxford?
Like today.
