Is that from your own source, Doucher?

Can't say but this isn't a whisper or hunch or whatever - it's fact
    Very good. Thanks.

As much as I love JJ I don’t want him or Euell taking over this car crash.

What’s have they got to gain?

If the downward spiral continues under their charge, they’ll tarnish hard earned reputations.

They might sneak us into the play offs but as soon as the takeover goes though, they’re gone.

I’m the polar opposite. Who among Charlton fans are going to blame either if they can’t slow down the slide. Certainly not me. I believe the lift either or both could give us all including possibly the players and could be our last hope and quickly fading playoff place.

Would anyone out there not take Riga over Robinson? Much better manager.

Well I guess I might as well have my Robbo say too then.

It seems it doesn't really matter what the guy does he's never going to please!

Robinson's faults as a manager are plain to see - tactically rigid - an over reliance on a preferred system and style of play. Robinson's go to formation of 4231 and the possession, build up "football" style are not bad or wrong themselves its just a matter of knowing when and whats best and it's this naivety (and a splash of arrogance) that causes the problems (I believe he's said himself that he can be tactically naive) trying to play premier league football with league 1 players although commendable, isn't always going to work.....

He came into the club having to deliver on expectation, something which I think is fair to say he never really had at MKD, with an owner that was never going to provide the tools (yes, I know he knew what it was like before signing the contract see above "naive" and "arrogance") and a pretty pissed off fan base. You cant blame him for taking the job on as an out of work manager but given he was starting to struggle towards the end of his MK days walking into our situation was just fecking stupid really.

It's been pretty obvious that all interest has just gone, not getting what he thought he was during the transfer window - funds, players, that ever elusive goal scorer, a take over... has made sure of that, he could have made a better shot of it with what he had but, yeah, need those wingers and 10's for 4231.

He's still a fairly young manager even with the 5/6? years at MKD and has still got a lot of learning to do, getting an older head number 2 in again will help him out. And I do hope he does well, as young English manager's wanting to play a footballing style is what we need more of, but preferably, clever ones too.

So then, Robbo..... Was happy to see you come in, but I wont be sad to see you go.

  • JJ in. Two upfront. Fans behind Team. Mavididi back. Goals. 6 wins. Wembley day out. Promotion. BOOM!
  • If Mavididi comes back and we win every game and get promoted under JJ JE LB Etc.

Someone on here will say if Mavididi had been fit Gobinson would have taken us up, he was unlucky, passsionate, lovely bloke, didn't realise RD wouldn't back him. Great young coach etc etc etc

was Powell’s first game a win v Plymouth at home as manager? Hopefully jj can follow this

jj always speaks of attacking the ball. He has the history of being a defender/ midfield who scored goals. I say give him a chance. Powells first 4 months in charge were’nt great. Give him a go; far more level headed and measured than Robinson.

Yeah you might be right. It’s such a mess that a bit of hope would go a long way.

If we are promoting from within, I'd go with JE over JJ and if he took over permanently I'd want him to be able to bring in his own team with or without JJ, JJ could always take over the u23 if there wasn't room for him in the first team set up.

I can't see how whoever takes over has anything to lose - not a bad situation.

No way if our club has any values left

Let Robbo go, Send Bowyer with him

    Stick JJ as caretaker

I don't get the impression that Bowyer wants to be in charge, would happily keep him on as first team coach but only if whoever takes over permanently wants him.

Nothing personal - I would just like to see bit of a clear out. Bowyer was Robinson’s man. Yes Jackson was Robinson’s choice as coach as well, and I think he has something to offer and probably deserves to stay.

I just want a Manager to come in with his own assistant and bring something new to the club.

Don’t have an agenda with Bowyer at all - was one of the best players I’ve seen play for the club.

    So well put.

I want to echo two things:
    1) He tried to play football, and that's good.
    2) He needs an older head alongside him. Especially someone who can act as a calming influence to him. I think we've really, really missed that this season

A few months back Valley Pass did "A Day in the Life of..." with Karl. And he talked about doing 12-14 hour days. And that's not sustainable for a person. It has long seemed that he tries too hard, which can be just as, if not more damaging than someone who doesn't try enough, and it may be part of him losing the forest for the trees. I think someone who could be a steadying influence, who could say "Calm Down" or "Let's approach this from another angle" or "Let's walk away from this for a while" would do him a lot of good.
