Didn't really like inception, I 'got it' I guess, but thought it was more just pointlessly complicated than 'clever'.

  • Sorry to be boring but I have to agree.

    Matrix
    Lord of the rings
    Fast and furious

As I biker I have to add Easy Rider although it is iconic and watched it a few times.

Are you a biker, or do you ride a motorbike TT?
Less biker these days TBF but comfortable in the the biker world.
You wont be if you tell them your Opinion on Easy Rider...

I mean ignoring his ridiculous comment that the Usual Supsects is "literally the shittest thing ever". This is someone who has not seen the following films (some of them classics):

Any opinions you have on movies should be discarded immediately.
Let's just imagine I turned this around with a load of foreign-language classics that colthe3rd probably hasn't seen many of, rather than having to laboriously type out each one
  • Agree with op about anchorman.

I felt weird that I was the only one on planet earth that thought it was garbage.

    Someone said pulp fiction.

I can see why you say that. That could be argued.

The acting is just too dam good to hate it though.
  • Anything by Wes Anderson.
  • The Revenant (The Irrelevant) - Dull and pointless. Stopped after 20 minutes. Tried again and eventually gave up on third attempt. I'm usually easy going but found it dreadful and sooooo boring. Made 'The Grey' look like Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.

I quite enjoy watching Usual Suspects, but I do find myself wondering if I think it's great or not. I just don't think it holds together after the twist. What we saw mostly didn't happen, as I understand it. Which makes much of the film pointless. Happy to be proven wrong, I just don't see how it works.

Exactly! your inability to recall such a classic song renders any other opinion you have on popular culture redundant.

And you'd not heard "what's going on?" either!
  • The 'twist' of The Usual Suspects is probably the nadir of popular culture
  • Eat Die Pray Love Repeat

Some crap I saw on a plane where Tom Cruise has to keep committing suicide to go back in time to thwart Julia Roberts in her quest to bonk her way across the globe.

I will admit I might have fallen asleep during one movie and woken up during the second one.

    Dunno never seen it.

seriously?! you're suggesting that the twist in a pretty insignificant film co staring Kevin Spacey called the usual suspects is the lowest point in popular culture?!

I am happy to argue my corner at any biker bash. I have done and most have agreed with me particularly about the stupid acid trip scene. I would still watch it again though.

Girl on a motorbike is also iconic but it was a tedious film.

Maybe it is the similarity of the endings doesn't help, aren't bikers allowed to live long and fulfilling lives like in Wild Hogs? ;-)

  • Birdman
Pretentious, smug, self-serving, affected jank. How it beat Whiplash - a $3.3m budget and 20 day shoot - to the Oscar, I'll never know.

You got me thinking @Algarveaddick so I have started a poll on a facebook page to get feedback from other motorcyclists, not sure how many are bikers. I will report back.

Has anyone else on here seen Easy Rider?
