Nah. Robinson is the studious, self-deprecating type who a journo has to virtually torture to get a comment out of him so I don't much fancy the chances of the man in the restaurant or pub. I expect, in any case, he's teetotal too.

Absolutely ditto this. I feel like a giddy child when we win, particularly we when we put in a good performance. Listening to the match this morning was absolutely brilliant.

Debutant Jake Forster-Caskey provided the assists for both of the South Londoners’ goals but Robinson didn’t want to get too carried away in the praise for the man he signed from Brighton and Hove Albion.
“Don’t be too easy on him because he’s a talent. If he performs like that for the next 7 or 8 games I’ll let him off on any average ones. I told him before the game that the last time he was here (with Milton Keynes), he was rubbish. First thing he said when he walked off was “I wasn’t rubbish today!”
Time was, when a Charlton victory would leave me with a happy glow that would last all week. It would take me a good few days to get over a defeat. Jumping around wherever I am with the news of a goal.
I guess, It is a mixture of not attending regular games, and the constant turn over of players, the knowledge that any decent young players will be sold on, pretty quickly (don't get too attached) and knowing that Duchatelet's strategy & Meire's ineptness & the make do & mend approach to squad building, & lack of depth puts a huge drag on any momentum.
I am always happy with a Charlton victory, but these days, a defeat won't have much impact as it is not entirely unexpected & are a direct consequence of the way the club is inexpertly run. If I have seen a game, by the time I have reached home, & almost by the time I have reached the car or the train station, I have shrugged off & forgotten about the defeat.
Good for the missus as I am not such a grumpy sod when Charlton have lost. What kind of achievement is that of Duchatelet & Meire, when loyal, long standing supporters are led not to care too much anymore ? I understand what Huskaris is saying entirely about disconnection.

Back to the match. Thanks for posting video @cafcsinger@ForeverAddickted . Soft sending off. Not sure if Page was wise to make that decision. Rudd is a pretty good keeper, & may have done something with it. A simple ball over the top, catching Bauer out. Maybe consequence of playing a higher back line. It's a good free kick but how far back was the Charlton wall ? Lots of space there to line up a shot. Bolton missed a sitter, then Bauer scores a good header from a decent free kick delivery. Tremendous break & determination from Forster-Caskey. Good through ball to Byrne & decent finish from Byrne. Nice goal celebration as well.

So many winnable fixtures as well... Fleetwood and Rochdale (next two games) could be tricky but come through those and the rest of the month could see our charge happen.
On the train home after a brilliant win this afternoon. Bolton went on the attack from the start and it seemed that we were in for a tough afternoon. Then Page recklessly, and as it turned out unnecessarily, got himself sent off and we immediately went 1-0 down and I thought we were in for a hiding. But the boys came out fighting. Bauer's equaliser was credited to Watt by the stadium announcer, which confused a lot of people in our end, and Byrne's winner just before the break was the culmination of a superb run from inside his own half by Forster-Caskey who made an impressive debut. Byrne ran his socks off for the team as if trying to make up for Page's absence on his own. Aribo and Konsa again showed great maturity for players so young, Solly was his usual solid self at the back. Rudd was dominant in the box although his kicking sometimes strayed. Altogether it was a wonderful fighting performance against one of the best sides in the league.It was one waytraffic in the second half but we stood firm and Bolton for all their pressure never made a chance.
Just got home from the match. A Good result and we played well but nothing to get too carried away with, Bolton were poor and it was a bit of a smash and run job. Bolton had started brightly and if anything the sending off and goal seemed to actually work against them. They became quite lethargic and acted as if the match was already won. Definite sending off, but page was left with little choice after Bauer had missed a simple header.
We played very tightly in the first but Bolton did have the better chances and really should have gone 2-0 up. A Bolton player managed to hit the back of his own teammates head with an open goal and Rudd pulled of a couple of good saves in slippery conditions. It should be mentioned that Rudd caught everything but his distribution was shocking, must of kicked straight to touch at least six times. Good delivery and poor defending for our first after we had started to come back in to the match. With five minutes to go before half time Bolton started to push up the field and commit players forward looking for the lead. With some good defending and a lightning quick counter from Forster-Caskey, who brought it forward with a mixture of skill and determination, timed his lay off for Byrne to finish very neatly. Second half we just got players behind the ball and Bolton were restricted to passing it around our area.
I've only been to away games this year and not all of them, but I thought Crofts and Forster-Caskey looked by far and away the best central pairing I have seen. Crofts is such a tidy player and Forster-Caskey Showed the Dynamism we have missed going forward this season from the middle. Watt seemed very isolated, that is to be expected with 10 men, but the few touches he had were quality. If only we can get him fit, he was blowing out of his arse after 10 minutes let alone sixty. You can't question his commitment on the pitch either. Novak had a nice little cameo and looks like he might just be fit by the end of the season.
The Macron was pretty silent for most of the match but the few hundred Charlton were in good voice, especially after the sending off. Stewarding did seem a bit heavy handed, I haven't been that heavily patted down since trying to enter the old west bank at Stamford Bridge. The Goon squad just seemed to rush and and grab anyone in the vicinity rather than the perpetrators.
