I was thinking about you yesterday when the rain started to fall, that's real bad luck. I hope you did something else to make up for it and wasn't one of those poor souls I saw sitting in the rain under an umbrella for hours. I'm not sure why anyone would do that.
The last time we were at The Oval and there was heavy rain, we went to Chinatown for a few hours and got back as play was restarting, whilst some people just sat in the rain getting drenched.

To be honest we thought we'd see less cricket as it was meant to rain from 1 but they thought they'd come back at 5 for a couple of hours so we were going to head off to imperial war museum for a couple of hours and come back however, it didn't quite work like that, they took early lunch, so we returned after lunch and when it stopped again we had our lunch then had a couple of drinks, it wasn't even raining that badly at times so we went up to our seats and laughed at the rope tractor going round tripping up the stewards and the Yorkshire tea band who played for those still sitting in their seats. Listening to TMS tribute too which was brilliant time went quite quickly and we went back down to the concourse for another drink, and then they had the inspection. We walked round the ground to find a loo and ended up watching all the players come out of the ground. If I knew how to add pics to the site I would put them on here. All friendly men signing autographs for the kids. Cook said he was sorry he couldnt do anything about the weather. We weren't in a hurry to get home so watched all SA then Eng come out then came home. Enjoyed the day, as always, and wasn't surprised it was a wash out. Back to lords in September for West Indies.
Curious run out fot Ali. Seems he was given out cos one end of the bail was off the stump but the other was attached. Seems wrong. What happens if like in pole vault , it jumps off and comes back down in place?

That's booked his place in the Test side for the next 5 years!
Curse of tests at the oval strikes again for us.
