Reading this thread from my hospital bed yesterday whetted the appetite and when they come round with the breakfast menu I was delighted to see under the cereals and pastries 'cooked English breakfast'.
Though to myself one the benefits of private hospitals is getting a bit of 4 star tucker.

2 Eggs, 2 Bacon, Sausage, Tinned Tomatoes, 2x Fried Bread. Mushrooms optional. If home-made bubble and squeak is available I'd ditch the fried bread and add baked beans.
In terms of a local greasy spoon, the Manor Cafe in Lee takes some beating. A veritable goldmine, and I have never known it not to be there, and I have never seen it empty.
