Recently it seems that the Belgians have lost patience with the manager/head coach sooner than the fans, this time it seems we would be fairly happy if they wielded the axe on his brass scouse neck. They still will cock up his replacement, and then his replacement, and the next etc etc.
I have read these posts for years , first comment due to being a little lagging: The players seemed to put in a shift today but the quality is not there, no end product and no leader to organise the team. KR seems to be without a plan B.Why not scout the local leagues for players with hunger and desire?
Didn't go to the game today despite handing out flyers.
We were given spare £5 seat tickets by fans happy to receive the flyers, we still did not go.
Most entertaining moment of the day for me was when one of the cars coming down into Floyd Road stopped, wound down window and asked for flyers. I'd love to be able to tell you which player it was but I can't mostly due to not being able to recognise them all.
I can absolutely confirm it wasn't Richard Murray who drove past in his jag with his RM24 plate.
Thanks to everyone involved in producing those flyers, hope to see as many of those who read them as whose personal circumstances permit out there this weekend.
Players are poor , couple of good youngsters coming through they will be sold in time , Someone said why was Ricky Holmes captain my thoughts eacactly , runs around looks busy , but for me no discipline where is he playing ? To be fair to Holmes he ain't the only one the discipline in the team is shocking, any team who comes to the valley and is well drilled and keeps their shape will take home the 3 points, every week I feel it's gonna change but sadly it's getting worse gutted.
With respect, I suggest that this is probably not the case. Very low attendances, week after week, will bite into the balance sheet and the situation may, in time, become unsustainable.
We are creatures of habit and often take comfort in the familiar. Attendees must decide whether the 'product' on offer is worthy of their support. Many have turned their backs on the club largely because it is so unfamiliar to that which they recognised in the past. It would seem to be the case that the number of those taking a personal (and collective) stand in saying 'No' is increasing.

I don't get, why go? A genuine question from somebody who did not renew his season ticket this season and has seen just two (protest) games at home and one away game (Oxford). So I ask again, why go, I don't get it? Thanks

The "walking away" point is a good phrase. Mine has been coming on and off for a while. I do not spend any money in the ground. Yesterday I got in the ground thought why bother. Watched a poor performance. Hate RD and KM for what they have done. But , I have reached the walking away point. I hope I can come back when they have gone- if the club still exists.
If Robinson blames himself for keeping mivididi on the pitch for too long why sign a player for the rest of the season that you know will have to be rested after 3 or 4 consecutive games in the first place?

He'll need more Lookmans than that in League One, roughly one a season would be more like it. He's still the proverbial man in a hole with a shovel. And the actual Lookman is covering last season's loss.

Bit like being married often have a moan and a "bitch" as you put it but some have a loyalty and longer staying power than others.
Having said that my threshold for CAFC is near to the end, some people just have a higher threshold for pain than others I guess.

At the Slade appointment press conference when she was presented with a golden opportunity to try to win some of them back (after heralding a new beginning under a British manager) she was asked during the PC about this loss of core support.
Anyone possessing even a shred of 'business' sense would have said something on the lines of "I hope they will have seen that we have listened, that they take note of what we are doing and will reconsider, and come back to The Valley preferably as ST Holders - we want them back."

In the case of the latter, if this means the creation of a new fan base ideally drawn from a different demographic (e.g. RD and Meire's idea of attracting rugby-type supporters from areas of South-West London ready to mingle with opposing fans in an unsegregated crowd) then the loss of 4,000 (and presumably more than that now) core supporters from the traditional areas of support around the The Valley and into Kent....................is a price worth paying perhaps?

Went shopping with family in Sheffield town centre today. Heard the healthy United crowd roar all the way in the town centre a few times with big cheers. Have to say i'm a bit jealous. I'd love our stadium to be packed with fans roaring on the team to victory again and again. United aren't really a bigger club (lately) and can probably only attract similar quality of players and manager. The difference is that they seem to be well run and are littered with people that are Red and White to their core. Even when they were waiting to come good, their fans knew that their backers and board are all behind the club and more importantly hurting when it doesn't go well. If RD was on here telling us how much it upsets him to see us lose i'd have some belief but he doesn't give a fuck about the club, only the bottom line. Win, lose, or draw, if the club turns a profit, then that is all that matters at any cost. I feel sad that I am losing 'my only desire' and all because the one person that is responsible won't do the respectful thing and let the club be run by someone who will cherish it and nurture it back to health.
I didn't check our score until after full-time. This is not me. After nearly 40 years of following Charlton my heart is going cold. I've seen it all over this time as we all have, but i've never once felt this disconnect.

Players are in general good quality for this league and there were good individual performances from aribo mavididi and that is about it for the positive. If robinson has got his players (less the elusive decent striker) then he at least has to get them playing together and for each other. The defence needs time together and someone needs to be shouting far more in defence as their goal was all our fault. Bauer or tex needs to be loudly commanding the defence and rudd needs to be positively talking loudly to that person. Robinson must see this as a priority. Aribo is similar to jordan cousins and must start each game. The passing was better yesterday minus any killer passes from midfield. The passing improved only because bury did not press us as much as oxford. It is back to basics for robinson and i am surprised that the effervescent karl picks the still water novak as a striker; he must think what on earth the club are doing with such a player. Lots to get on with karl so start earning your money. I believe we should keep robinson until the end of next season and changing things now would make things worse
