Making more history for our Football Club/Team...(Not that Miere would ever know what that is)...think this Unity match thread will go down as one of the most endearing & emotional, the stories the pics & the video's...I'm getting quite teary with proudness for all the hard work & dedication of the true supporters, that are fighting back to win this battle against the Tightfisted Duct Tape Ain't Got A Clue About Football-man.
Glorious & Proud day to be an Addict...!!! Thank you...X

This really an inspirational read. I actually (genuinely) feel guilty that I am heading to Northampton today from Norfolk as opposed to Belgium. Good luck all.
Brussels-midi. Half an hour to wait then the train to Hasselt. Haven't spoken to a soul since 5.30 so looking forward to meeting some fellow hotheaded bitter ex-employees.
I'd be there if it wasn't for this dude and that's why I'm thankful for all of you going. Some of my best moments in life have come at Charlton games and at The Valley with my dad. I want Arthur to experience those father and son moments at a club that feels "ours".
Ok, time is almost upon us, i'm packed with leaflets, scarves, shirts, protest shirts and other items.
Lets use this thread to publish pix and videos and anecdotes of the weekend - no doubt this will be viewed many times and we will sit down and laugh at what happened (and no doubt a few tears too).
Looking forward to seeing you all in Sint Truiden
Anyway, as our mate Henry might have said..
"Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more; Stiffen the sinews, follow your spirit, and upon this charge God for Charlton, The Addicks, and Sint Truiden!"
More from that 'other' Henry....
Those that outlive this day, and come safe home, Will stand a tip-toe when this day is nam'd, And rouse them at the name of Truiden. Those that shall live this day, and see old age, Will yearly on the vigil feast their neighbours, And say "To-morrow is Sint Truiden." Old folk forget; yet all shall be forgot, But they'll remember, with advantages, What feats they did that day. Then shall their names Be in their flowing cups freshly rememb'red. This story shall the good addick teach their child; And Truiden Truiden shall ne'er go by, From this day to the ending of the world, But they in it shall be rememberèd - The few, the happy few, the band of supporters; And those in England now a-bed Shall think themselves accurs'd they were not there, And hold their support cheap whiles any speaks That stood with them upon Sint Truiden 's day.
Staying positive though, I am eating monster munch in the middle of the morning on a suburban train in Belgium and I don't think it gets any better than that.
