But from which division....iaitch said:Just got my renewal letter the second paragraph reads:-

http://www.cafc.co.uk/news/article/club-statement-charlton-athletic-relegation-to-league-one-3068129.aspx
"Our sole aim is to be fighting for promotion next season and our top priority is to put together a squad that can help Charlton Athletic get back into the Championship."
If we finish below 14th then this will be our lowest League finish since 1926. I dread to think how bad the table would look by now if we hadn't been "fighting for promotion".9 -
There is no mention of an Early Bird Discount, only an offer of 6months free subscription to new Web pages (Valley Pass).0

Nah this season was the season of the Top Six budget.iaitch said:Just got my renewal letter the second paragraph reads:-

Its like Chinese New Year with this lot with the way they have the "Year of the Squirrel" etc. its also no different in the same respect as each year you think your life will show promise only come August do you realise its the same old shite.0 -
Never got my renewal pack. Not going to, but would like to be asked.0
-
I'm confused by this promotion push idea, isn't that always meant to be the aim every season, try and win as games as possible, surely that would help put bums on seats, even dancing maybe.3
-
Insert many as required.0

Easy mistake to make, the main reason for our existence is to see as many Premiership or Championship stars of the future as possible. When that's done, dance like a Dervish.jonseventyfive said:I'm confused by this promotion push idea, isn't that always meant to be the aim every season, try and win as games as possible, surely that would help put bums on seats, even dancing maybe.

Is there any other club in the country where you can pay £125 more for your season ticket than the person next to you (albeit separated by a gangway)?1
-
Because it's a personal decision. CARD have NEVER called for a boycott of attending matches. Last year they asked supporters to leave it until the last possible moment before buying. i think they may have asked for supporters to boycott buying consumables. Not a problem there, just take your own food & drink. You want a beer ? Go to the pub before the game & if you can't go two hours without then you have a drink problem.clb74 said:Don't agree why should I boycott when half of CARD will still be going to games

1 renewing, 6 not renewing.
Was expecting the tickets to be ridiculously cheap to give me a dilemma but decision is an easy one.1 -
If you can sit and watch us at the moment without a drink you have a problem i would say.charltonbob said:

You have to have a beginning and an end somewhere.0 -
For a club of our size in this division the only goal should be promotion. Not a 'promotion push'. What does that even mean? Such a half hearted statement.iaitch said:Just got my renewal letter the second paragraph reads:-

We'll be behind early season as our manager (whoever he is) will be scratching around for 3-4 deadline day freebies to try and get the squad number up to 20. Then when injuries hit around November we'll be fucked and any hopes of promotion will likely be over by Christmas.6 -
Plus they'll close the toilets and food outlets that serve those blocks saving them staff costs, cleaning costs, etc.cafc999 said:Closing those blocks would save approx. £100 a match in stewards
Still not a lot of money, but probably a 5 figure sum over the course of a season.0 -
Same for me. I have a halfway-line East Stand seat, and the cost is going up this time around. I've been paying almost three times the amount as some other fans for the last few years, for not really much added value - so this feels like a complete f**k you from the club.GRAY9 said:1 renewing, 6 not renewing.

Crazy when you think this ticket price is raising above what I paid to watch us in the Championship. In fact it is doing the exact inverse of team performance.0 -
The club don't run the food outlets as it is outsourced.randy andy said:

And i assume they aren't shutting the disabled section at the back of those blocks so there will be be stewards in that section.
In any case why do we need to save money? We have a very rich and very generous owner who has "invested" heavily in the club.2 - Sponsored links:

Not that I'm renewing again until they're gone - but I've just looked at the brochure and it lists prices 'Adult', 'Adult Dis' (presumably discount), 'Conc**' and 'Conc** Dis'.
It says that "**Concessions include over 65s and under 21s" but nowhere does it say what 'Adult Dis' and 'Conc** Dis' are....?0 -
My guess would be disabled rather than discount but could be wrong of course!micks1950 said:Not that I'm renewing again until they're gone - but I've just looked at the brochure and it lists prices 'Adult', 'Adult Dis' (presumably discount), 'Conc**' and 'Conc** Dis'.

Thanks. That sounds plausible as disabled prices are not listed elsewhere.LenGlover said:

My guess is they are trying to get more in touch with the next generation of fans by using street talkmicks1950 said:Not that I'm renewing again until they're gone - but I've just looked at the brochure and it lists prices 'Adult', 'Adult Dis' (presumably discount), 'Conc**' and 'Conc** Dis'.

Yeah, they haven't really made it clear what 'dis' stands for have they. I'd be inclined to think it's disobedient or disorder.LenGlover said:

anyone who has received a renewal form, are they still running Valley Express?0

Have to laugh, Dennis rhommedahl is now considered a Charlton legend with his inclusion on the front cover of the brochure!
Now he did score a winner against palace, but still...
Got the pack through today, ripped up and in the bin in a record 10 seconds flat!1
