As I said yesterday I’ve asked to close my account. That'll happen tonight. It’s obvious why, but I’d also realised that IF the Aussies take over I would have to leave anyway, to avoid the likely flak ;-)
I’ve enjoyed your company and hope to be back in happier times. May see some of you in Southend. Could do with a win!
Can't believe there ain't more football loving rich bastards who think we're worth a punt at double the value, plus extras and with no clean title
My point was really that I thought there'd be at least one more interested party who was at least at the same stage as the Aussies.
No evidence that there is. No one can confirm for example that "the Saudis" have gone through the ODT. Redhenry does not know if they have. Another who might shed light on this is @Addickted. His source had quite a lot to say about the Aussie ODT, which seems to have been confirmed, but I wonder if he gave any indication that another party did an ODT too?
Charleton, a village famous, or rather infamous for the yearly collected rabble of mad-people, at Horn-Fair; the rudeness of which I cannot but think, is such as ought to be suppressed, and indeed in a civiliz’d well govern’d nation, it may well be said to be unsufferable. The mob indeed at that time take all kinds of liberties, and the women are especially impudent for that day; as if it was a day that justify’d the giving themselves a loose to all manner of indecency and immodesty, without any reproach, or without suffering the censure which such behaviour would deserve at another time.

As Daniel Defoe said in 1727:
