Does he feel that LB can keep us up with a limited budget whilst he can break even, perhaps make a small profit, hence can still bide his time without need to drop his silly asking price? Perhaps if LB had walked Durlachet would have had a complete disaster on his hands that he would have to have sorted out therefore he may have felt more inclination to sell? Dont get me wrong wanted Lee to stay but it must also have massively suited RD because he believes he can do a good job with limited budget whilst he can keep Lookman money which will line his pocket for a while! If he's not further funding us and Lee works a miracle and the results are not a complete disaster he can bide his time playing what ever silly games he's playing with potential investors! Just a nasty thought! :(

It will be nasty all round. We'll be left with barely a squad, which will only serve to drive the price potential new owners are willing to pay down. Especially if we're relegated. He just doesn't understand the football industry. The Income Statement is not something any sane person would be looking at when valuing a club.

I made a joke around page 1000 about us reaching page 2000 before this takeover happens, and got quite a few LOLs at the time...

So we lose approx £7M p.a in League One, and can break even/small profit 2nd tier. It's likely we'll go down and he'd lose £7M in one season, it he could play safer and give Bow an additional £1.5-2M budget p.a and have more chance of incurring the same losses over three seasons while he looks for another loon to pay his price.

He could, yes. He doesnt understand football at all,he just worries about £. If the rancid one understood football,he would've understood that you dont make money out of it until you reach the PL and to do that you have to give your manager a bit more to spend than what you find down the back of the sofa.

He ain't selling. I think the only way to get to him is via Belgium. And I think we need to be talking to his partner and kids because at some point in the next 30 years this will become their problem. They may have some influence on him, no one else appears to.
No one in their right mind is going to pay his price. Which means either he doesn't sell or we end up with someone even worse who does even less due diligence.
We're stuck with him and regular trips to Belgium are going to be the only way to remind him we're still here. The mountain won't come to Mohammed. The Helmet won't come to Charlton.

  • Right I propose a dance off against RD, winner takes it all. Beat him at his own game in his back yard.

Who are charltonlife putting forward for this?

Well, you totally cocked that up, should leave the serious business to the pros!
  • Don’t think we ought to be wishing or hoping any ill on Roland to be honest. 73 isn’t old these days so even bringing his age into this sorry state of affairs is pointless and quite frankly tasteless.

Even though he's actively trying to negatively affect our lives? I might not wish him dead, but I certainly won't be drinking to his health any time soon.

Yes. Even that. Wishing ill on someone is really pretty scummy to be honest.

...as owner of Charlton. And, instead celebrate many more birthdays in retirement, while no longer having any involvement in football.

1966,  "Some people are on the pitch, they think it's all over. It is now".
The game should've been stopped, and a bounced ball should've occured.
    Back to 3-2.

The FA were so clever having a Soviet Linesman for the Final just 21 years after the War. Tofiq Bahramov from Azerbaijan which was part of the Soviet Union.
In his memours Bahramov wrote that he thought the ball had hit the net ! and then span out. Tofiq Bahramov retired with his trusted guide dog by his side.
    Back to 2-2.

No penalities back in 66, just as well.

Why tarnish England's finest moment ?

    Seifenkiste Sam.
