with the recent demise of Bury , I discussed with my eldest (13) what we’d do if it happened to Charlton . He said we can’t support anyone else just England and I agreed and said i think I’d survive but I couldn’t have as a 13 year old myself back then . I also feel my love of football has definitely diminished over the last 5 years or so , not just Roland but the saturation of the game on telly gets on my nerves and I’m watching as little footy now as I ever have since it got picked up by Sky.

I am old enough to have played the original version of this genre and remember the weird names of the players like Brian Plank, the halcyon days of FIFA 94, before football really sold its soul.
