  • In the pub, my niece said that this time round, the youth vote is real. " it's become cool to vote" she said. At 21.55....

I'm hoping this puts an end to the suggestion of a take over by the hard left, maybe they have finally given a mandate that the whole Labour party can accept and build upon together. If the have energised the youth vote, they have defied the establishment again. Early days yet saying that.
Those young people didn't ever have to travel on a nationalised railway run by British Rail or suffer when the country was in the grip of the Trade Unions with constant strikes. Labour Governments have always overspent and left the economy in a worse state than they found it.
Have you been to a hospital or spoken to a teacher lately?
  • The Swindon results make Labour gains in both Reading seats look likely.

    Wrexham (LAB hold)

    CON 15321
    PC 1753
    LAB 17153
    LD 865
  • If we use the football analogy Labour lose 3-2 but all three Tory goals were scrappy rebounds, the two Labour goals were absolute screamers.
  • I'm fancying the exit poll to be wrong - in Labour's favour.....

I've changed my mind (for the third time this evening) and am now foimg with this. Think the exit poll will be about right with one or 2 less for the Tories which will go to Labour.

I am still predicting a couple months of Tory minority government until they get Boris as leader and we get another election in record time.
  • LABOUR HOLD WREXHAM !!!
  • Wrexham is another seat the Tories really expected to win. LAB have just held it.
  • "Labour predicted to comfortably hold Stoke North which is interesting given it was Labour's most Brexit seat"

Fuck me you sound like the Daily Mail. Stuck in the 1970s.

Privatising the railways has really been a great success....
  • LAB hold Jarrow.

  • It could actually be worse for the Tories than the Exit Poll predicted.

Is it me or is the excitement palpable?

  • Everything a hold so far.

LAB hold Llanelli with swing 1.4% CON to LAB.
  • The only safe seat for Ukip now is their weekly one on Question Time
  • Who is the Daily Mail going to blame? Presumably the BBC.
