Edit: Fiiish and I had the same idea and credit to him for putting it more simply.
Exit poll versus final tally looks very good. By the way, I would expect it to be very good given the sample size of 30k. Not sure where they put the margin of error for the exit poll, but the end result must surely be within it.

The British public don't deserve Theresa May. I'm sure even Conservative voters, party members and even many Tory MPs must think that. Do the UK want her going into EU negotiations after showing what spectacularly poor judgement she has?
She should resign IMO. No need to call an election & when she did she couldn't be bothered to attend the Leaders Debate to explain her policies. I waiting for a Tory MP to grow some & tell it like it is........ but it seems they've all gone to ground. It won't take much for just a couple of backbenchers to get the arsehole & decide to abstain on a vote in the Commons or for a bye election or two to reduce her working majority to zero (did the tory guy in Thanet get back in ? he could go down if the CPS get their way)
Problem is I don't know who could take over. Boris can come across as a bit of a wally (but supposedly knows his stuff) . I like Rees-Mog or James Goldsmith but I know they wont go down to well with the lower classes.
Just been discussing with my son the somewhat eccentric candidates - Lord Bucket Head and Mr Fish Finger to name but two.
I have decided that at the next election (probably quite soon) I will be standing in Stoke on an independent ticket. The purpose will be to gain sponsors for x per vote gained to raise money as part of my fundraising for Leukemia research and the Anthony Nolan Trust. I'll be sure to let you all know but just wanted to check something in case it's not allowed. It will not be an offensive name and likewise the manifesto will be humorous rather than derogatory so would appear to be acceptable. Anyone see any reason why it wouldn't be allowed?
Bob, great idea, If Munro is your real name, how about the Marilyn party!?! (i know not the same spelling).
Count me in, just don't get 40,000 votes or i'll be skint!
I don't think we'll be able to have a public debate for the next 5/10/50 years without some budget Hopkins shouting everyone down. State of our discourse
@bobmunro you have to pay a deposit of £500 to stand which would eat into any funds raised
Yes was aware of that Henners - I was thinking I would stump that up (who knows I may not lose it) so all monies raised would go to the good causes. I'm not not sure about charities and political activity - I've just read some stuff where it says a charity should avoid supporting or endorsing a candidate - but I haven't found anything that would preclude a candidate using the process (invisibly if need be) to raise money.
More research needed but it may be a runner if it's lawful. Could have some real fun as well.
Ian Hislop wanted to congratulate Jeremy Corbyn on running such a successful campaign and ended it by saying "he is now as successful as Gordon Brown was when he lost"
That Isabel Oakeshott is usually so cocky on QT. Tonight she's got a face like a smacked arse.
She is the most obnoxious individual I have seen in a long time.
Has an opinion for sure, what makes you say obnoxious?
Well, the first thing she did was to talk over the Labour representative on the panel, who was too polite to shout her down. She then proceeded to spend the rest of the show defending the Daily Mail, of all things.

I saw the first bit, they all do it on there...... .can't say I heard the Daily Mail defence.....

I genuinely think this is the best thing/proposal/argument I've now read on 272 pages. I'd quite happily be an official donor to the bob Munro party.
Independents run all the time. I'm now officially backing bob Munro 2022

I'd be happy to kick in a tenner. Is it legal for a non-citizen non-resident to influence elections there? Are there laws against that? And if so, how do they work? Asking for a friend(ly country).

Anyone know how we can become registered in the area to vote Bob!?

If you do it in a 6ft penis costume I will give you £1 per vote.

There didn't seem to be any problems with Farage and Ukip ironically receiving money from Russia. I'm sure some of the more right leaning members of the forum know how to filter that £10 through some off-shore companies.

We can all come and live with him. I bet he'd love it. Then there would be no need for any of us to go on here. We just start discussions round his kitchen table. It would be well worth it. For all of us

Ruth Davidson is to defy Theresa May’s plans for a hard Brexit and tear her Scottish party away from English control after the UK Tories’ disastrous General Election result.
Amid a growing clamour among senior Tories in London for Ms Davidson to be given a top position in the UK party, her aides are working on a deal that would see the Scottish party break away to form a separate organisation.

The exit polls were almost bang on the money, the end result was only slightly in the Tories' favour.

Political bants.
You'll win a landslide.
ps, I think Isabel would win, she'd get a dirty kick in first....
No UKIP on the panel - just as well seeing as they have no MPs and no leader.
