P'raps a better way of looking at it, is a misuse of the word "Legend(s)"
Out of those playing today, those that I'd genuinely be happy to pay to watch, would barely make up an XI but definitely there wouldn't be any subs!
Of course they are all part of the clubs history but that doesn't mean they're worth paying to see.

Some ex-players keeping themselves in trim (some not!) A great afternoon. Good showings from Kim Grant, Lee Bowyer and others. Paul Hayes looked fit but he only stopped playing this year I think....
Superb that some travelled huge distances to attend. Grant from Bangladesh! Not sure how Kishishev and Garland managed to do so well bearing in mind the built-in handicap!
A brilliant afternoon, really enjoyed it , certainly brought back lots of memories, seeing all those players again, there was a lot of Charlton love in the house!
Great cause, result didn't really matter, didn't know the real Mr Hayes was on the bench, although I did see Paul Hayes come on.
A brilliant afternoon tinged with regret that the rekindled memories of what was Charlton have been trashed by that aweful suntanned grinning belgian woman and her owner.
That was my first visit to the Valley for about 18 months and it has strengthened my resolve not to return again until the belgians are gone.
Thank you KP and all the players for a marvellous afternoon, there were often tears in my eyes and our history does matter.

Peter Garland didn't put a foot wrong. Man of the match.
He's quality, played against him a few times now and go honestly a cut above most in a competitive vets league. He never misplaces a pass, just seems to glide around unnoticed which is an achievement in itself. Just enjoys his football, told my boy today, watch him play, he will just spray it about. The shot he had today reminded me of a goal he scored at home to Bolton in the 90s. I might be imagining that though.
great day out with my 3 year old grandson whose dad had turned him into a dulwich hamlet supporter, so i took him in the shop bought him a charlton shirt,put it on him and took his photo with the sam bartram statue,in front of super cIives poster with him mimicking the guns salute and in front of the playoff winners team trying to explain it all to him,he loved it all, think things have changed now as my daughter just text me that since ive dropped him home he keeps singing the red red robin and said dad can come next time if he wants.special thanks also to johnny jackson (who else) who made sure he got his autograph after being crowded out by the bigger kids.Some class acts there today.Curbs,Kish and big fat pete were my standout players today and gritty scored a great own goal, Chris Powell blasted a penalty over the bar in front of the covered end.
SCP walked along the whole length of the Covered End signing autographs and agreeing to selfies right around to the tunnel. CURBS went over as well to chat to people after the game. MATTY H was not the only one to thank people.
Had a brilliant day. What a bunch of legends! My grandad had such a great time. My dad asked a few staff on the concourse before the game about a programme when they said it had probably sold out. One female member of staff said to him she'd try to find one and asked where he was sitting. He said row x by the directors box but didn't think anything of it.
Lo and behold half way through 2nd half this lady came up and over to us and handed a programme to my grandad. She took no money and wouldn't give us her name so we could thank her. She said she was the cleaning supervisor. What a lovely lady going above and beyond!
Grandad saw her after the game outside as he was leaving but gave her a peck on the cheek.
