An Everton fan at work has told me that they have identified Benteke as the solution to their striker options and are willing to spend a lot of money to get him in Jan.

Not only do I think that will solve everyone problems and get then playing better. It would ruin Palarse so would be hilarious.

Not convinced, I worry if that happens Everton would over pay and give Palarse a nice amount to replace a player who is not exactly on fire for them right now.

The transfer to really damage them that I am hoping for is the murmurs that Zaha might be ready for a "big club" again.

Benteke has barely featured for them this season. It would be much better if Arsenal or Spurs go for Zaha and Chelsea after an injury crisis recall Loftus-Cheek...

the teams around palace are also appauling fear everton could drop if they arent taken hold of soon as they are being battered by not very good teams, look at that europa league group v simple group imo.

they have a decent first 11, crap squad. they will survive. it's shit but it is what it is.

Which of the worst goalkeepers in the PL are you classing as 'decent' in that first 11? The first 11 that has, largely, played in one of the worst performing teams over the last 18-24 months, to be clear.
  • They play Brighton tomorrow. That won't be easy for them and hopefully our new friends from the South Coast will turn them over good and proper.

In the same batch of fixtures WBA are at home to Newcastle and Everton to West Ham. If both Albion and Everton win - perfectly possible - and Palace lose, a nice gap will open up once again

Should be a very tasty game at the Amex - slightly surprised Watford-Utd is the live match although that should be a good game too with the Hornets in fine form
  • I fear that Palace will beat Brighton and by Christmas they will be out of the bottom three. They just have too many decent players, and a decent manager. As much as I'd love them to be relegated I just can't see it happening.

agree with above apart from dildo head hodgson being a decent manager - this is the man that had harry kane taking corners.

I agree with you that he is a dildo head.

That's why I'm glad he got the palarce job.

So many better managers than him out there.

Here's hoping he takes the stripey nigel tossers down.

theyve outdone themselves again by throwing red paint over a brighton mural of there captain.

    2 questions

1.) why do brighton have a mural as they are not in rio or belfast
2.) what sort of dickhead goes down to brighton overnight ( as its over 60 miles from shithurst ) to throw paint over a mural to try and stoke this ridiculous made up derby.

    anyway up the seagulls.

that's not really being a good manager they have at least a better team than those around them equally anyone keeping west ham or everton up shouldnt be given freedom of the city.

The Massey Ratings for the PL (which take into account who teams have played) make happy reading! They also show how bad Everton have been, Swansea are slightly less poor than the actual table shows, while Huddersfield are slightly worse than the table suggests

I find Post Malone's musings about being a Rockstar more fathomable than this picture, what or who are they? If it was for Children in need then fair enough but I thought Hartlepool's Umpa Lumpers were better, and more intimidating

The culprit probably lives in some nice part of Surrey, so probably quite easy to pop down to Brighton.

Ticketless fans tried charging the away end, this on top of other crowd issues that included the hospitalisation of a steward resulted in the gates/turnstiles getting locked and everyone outside being marched to the station and put on trains back to London

Disagree that this is not a real rivalry - it makes no sense if you see Palace as a team from South London. However, if you see them as the team from Surrey (which obviously we do and they agree with) their main rivals would be either another team from Surrey (there isn't one at a similar level) or a team from a neighbouring county such as Sussex.
Ask Swindon/Oxford fans who their rivals are - main team from next county. Likewise Forest/Leicester/Derby.
Shame Murray's header didn't go in.

@rananegra kind of agree but the distances involved for example

selhurst - the valley 11.4 miles

    selhurst - amex 45.3 miles

also the notion that palace are a surrey team apart from a joke is not factually correct, in fact didn't they have "south london is ours" or something wanky like that, surely there rivals should be the wombles.

its the same as us having a rivalry with gillingham - which we don't and never will have no matter how much there pikey fans try to make one.
