Could easily win but could easily lose them games.MrLargo said:
Lots of winnable fixtures coming up for them over the next few weeks. Despite their pathetic start, they could easily beat Everton and stoke in their next two and they'd be right back in contention. Far too early to count any chickens yet.Dave2l said:They are playing serious catch-up.
My only fear is...the longer this goes on for, increases "a potential" for a survival at the death celebration, where they just about get out of the bottom 3 on the last game of the season.
That would be awful.
The positive for me is that I guess they'll have to be one of the top ten sides in the country between now and the end of the session in order to stay up.
Need 4 wins in next 8 just to keep in touch0 -
6 points from safety which is effectively 7 with their GD. Brilliant weekend.7
-
They look like the basket case they are to me, but you can get 6/4 on Palace to stay up which is pretty good odds in the circumstances....0

They are 32 points from safety. They need 1.2 points a game to survive.Chris_from_Sidcup said:6 points from safety which is effectively 7 with their GD. Brilliant weekend.

Hodgson bleating about having no strikers compared with other PL teams. Woy - you knew that when you took the job on mate.4

Sadly they’ll stay up and this joyously hopeful thread will slide away like last season .
Such a shit start yet they aren't as far away from safety as you’d have hoped .
Fingers crossed they stay down there but losing 1-0 away at Spurs isn’t a result of a team that are dead and buried just yet0 - Sponsored links:

True, but when their best player by a country mile goes around the Spurs keeper and has an open goal to shoot at and it goes wide you know the rest of their season is totally screwed...oohaahmortimer said:losing 1-0 away at Spurs isn’t a result of a team that are dead and buried just yet

When it comes and it will one day then there’ll be dancing in the streets ...0 -
To be fair , they've had a tough run of games of late . Think the jammy cunts will survive .0
-
6, effectively 7, points from safety already. Huge psychological blow to their players knowing that not even two wins in a row hauls them out of it.3
-
I think the next few games will tell us a lot about their prospects, as they have a run of games against the teams around them until Christmas.
On the one hand they're much weaker opposition, on the other there will be a lot more pressure on them to pick up results, and such tension will lead to mistakes...0 -
Over to you Mr Lookman... great time for his first PL hatrick...
Hopefully Zaha picks up an ingrown toenail too.4 -
Theres some pessimistic sods on here. They are glued to the bottom. They look hopeless. They have an ex England manager at the helm. It's the perfect storm.3

Right I have had enough!
This thread is for irrational and rational gloating over the demise of Palarse;
IF you have anything positive to say about the twats, go start yer own thread!5 -
Last season was a freak. They hired the only manager who could save them, and he still nearly fucked it up. This time there’s no Sunderland. Swansea are poor, but beyond that, they don’t have two other basket cases to prop them up.oohaahmortimer said:

The usual contenders for relegation places are the three teams who were promoted the year before. So far this season Newcastle, Brighton and Huddersfield are all playing well and getting points on the board.
Although this won’t last and they will probably have a poor run, importantly these three promoted teams all have currently collected 15 and 14 points. Add goal difference to this, and Palace need 11 and 12 points just to overcome these teams. Even in early November although not impossible it is stil a big ask.
There is still a long way to go, but if I was a Palace fan I would be getting very worried now. So far so good.

If I were a Palace fan, I'd be trying to work out if there are three teams worse than them in next season's Championship.Billericay Dickie said:The usual contenders for relegation places are the three teams who were promoted the year before.
