  • Burnley are not going to be in relegation trouble.

Palace have to try and finish above 3 from Bournemouth, Swansea, Brighton and Huddersfield. I know Brighton and Huddersfield have made decent starts but both are more than capable of going 8/9/10 games without a win.

Sadly i think West ham will be ok and Everton will surely climb up the table once they get a new manager and sort their defence out.

thats the issue with palace the clubs around them arent doing much better, draw was perfect result the weekend doesnt really help either of them out.

they should never have sacked de boer - that was ridiculous after 5 games.

they are 4 points off swansea well 5 with there shocking goal difference, unfortunately going to be a while till we can mock them on a weekly basis, would love for them to do a derby and pay big money for someone at xmas and then not get another single point.

Chris i agree Burnley probably won't go down but I want as many teams as far away from them as possible.
We've been talking about there next 8 games after spurs but They Are going to need 5 wins.
There last 8 home games are
    Liverpool
    Arsenal
    Man city
    Man United
    Tottenham
    Brighton
    Newcastle
    And Burnley.

You are right that they are four points off Swansea. But that's only part of the story. Because, by coincidence "four points" is the total they have gained all season. At the current rate, they will have gained another four points by 28th December.

So perhaps, at that point, they can start their charge up the table on New Year's Eve when they play... Manchester City.
  • Harry Kane taken off in 78 mins against Real Madrid to save him for palace at the weekend...
  • Nice injury time winner for Bournemouth at Newcastle, leaves Palace nicely adrift at the bottom now.
  • And a good win for Huddersfield as well. Always a danger they could fall away badly so the more points they get now, the better.
  • Also now 11 points behind Brighton and Huddersfield

I hope Harry Kane gets into double figures for November this game.
  • Also now 11 points behind Brighton and Huddersfield

Both are picking up enough wins to prevent those horrible runs of defeats that promoted teams can get into, and none of the promoted teams have been getting thrashed, so their GD is miles better than Palace's. Indeed only Everton and West Ham come close to Palace's GD of -17!

I do too, but I can't help thinking it is going to be a classic case of "after the Lord Mayor's show" for Spurs after that result in Europe.
Can see Palace nicking this one.

I want to express my agreement with the poster, but can't bring myself to 'like' a post that predicts success for the nigels.
Eurgh. I think I was just sick in my mouth.

I have often thought that we need a "I concur" option

I always thought "This" was sufficient.

We really need a "Cockwomble" option.

  • Taken from the BBC Sport Updates...

That's my fault for praising him! Paulo Gazzaniga gets caught out and Crystal Palace should score! Serge Aurier gives it away on halfway again, Andros Townsend sends Wilfried Zaha in on goal with a lovely pass and Gazzaniga is neither one thing or the other.

He ends up out of his area, unable to make a challenge, Zaha goes past him and has an open goal - PUTS IT WIDE!

    At last...

As the BBC text guy says

    75 mins
    SUBSTITUTION
    Tottenham 1-0 Crystal Palace
I captained Harry Kane in my fantasy football team so obviously he's coming off having done the square root of nothing.

EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. He'll score four next week.

    Fernano Llorente is on.

And we all know where a beautifully placed curler should be? Yes down the kharzi will Palarse!
  • 4 points from 33.
    Lost 9 of 11.
    Rock bottom.
    4 goals in 11 matches.
Failed to score in 9 of them.
    Minus 18 goal difference.
Only one Palace player has scored in open play.

It's all enough to make one cry laugh!
