Forster-Caskey and Best now injured again, Best one looks bad says Karl Robinson @BBCLondonSport #cafc

Zzzz didn’t he say this at the last, or one one before last presser about Best and then play him straight away again...

Robinson - “First half we were poor. Defensively, we looked weak” @BBCLondonSport #cafc

Robinson says loan signing close - player can play as a striker, behind or wide.

Robinson reckons the potential signing is "a good player, proven at this level - he will excite people." #cafc

I think Magennis is absolutely woeful. Not saying he had a million chances, but I just don’t see what he offers.

We need to get him replaced, if we have any chance of going up.

Oh no means takeover not imminent !
  • The signing will magically disappear not to be spoken about again, or turn up and sign for someone like Portsmouth

He needs to clear this timeframe with doucher.....the clutz
  • It's going to take more than one signing to sort this out.

That's pretty much exactly what he said when we signed Dodoo.

Maybe it is Dodoo. Wouldn't bet against it under this lot.
Don't value his judgment on any player to be fair. Marshall failed to impress again today and Reeves is like a fraud.
  • We did dominate the 2nd half but ultmately Reeves and Magennis cost us this game. We played with 9 men in the first half. They were both completely missing.
  • Maybe we are going to sign the leading striker from Cheltenham please tell me this is so!!!!
  • Robinson - “It’s frustrating. Nobody will be more disappointed than us. We have to take responsibility for the defeat ourselves” @BBCLondonSport #cafc

"Nobody will be more disappointed than us." Well who the fuck would you expect to be, Gillingham?

    I think some of the issues are obvious;

    1. Lack of leadership - when a Jacko, Pearce or even Solly isn't on the pitch we lack any sort of leadership. Jacko ran the back four to midfield against wigan.
    2. Robinsons strict formation, everyone has worked us out, even Gillingham know that our full backs bomb forwards leaving acres of space.
    3. We don't have the ability to stick to Robinsons formation, Reeves and magennis have been dire, Ricky has been off form, Marshall is an out and out winger.
    4. 4-4-2 and you get people like Marshall more comfortable in their roles which showed second half.

I didn't think we'd equal the first 20 minutes of Southend but we managed it - embarrassing.

It's probably a good job RD is selling and KM gone to sheffield or you'd be thinking KR's days were numbered.

  • Maybe it's time to recall players in loan to cover injuries.
  • We had 15-shots maybe but we take too long to take a chance... Prior to his goal Aribo collected a ball at the far post and reckon had he shot first time we may have scored. As it was he delayed which allowed Gillingham time to recover and get bodies into block... this happened a few times.

Was more impressed with Marshall than more recent games yet am baffled over the Half-Time subs especially going by the post match comments from Robinson..

JFC is just back from injury, thrown straight in and gets injured within 45mins - Best gets back, is thrown in and gets injured within 5mins... Why are these risks being taken when both Aribo and Ahearne-Grant have been two of our better players over Xmas yet get rested when others have been non stop through the whole season!!

Once again was impressed with both... Aribo got his goal and again KAG should have scored yet for an unbelieveable save from Holy

  • Best and JFC injured again. Why does he continue to rush players back? Did same with Holmes and Marshall in recent weeks and then does it with JFC today. Dropping Aribo and KAG was not fair based on recent performances from those two. Maginnis shouldn't be in that team

No reason to rush back JFC when Aribo has been good in midfield and played well today when he came on. Ditto, KAG was also a strange choice to leave out when Josh is so ineffective at the moment

What a disaster this club is. Breaks my heart. Feel for the ST holders. Hope takeover happens soon.

That's what happens when you rush players back from injury. Typical of this regime.

Marshall put in so many great balls in the second half. He certainly lived up to expectations today.

Joke of the year so far.
With you there, Chips. And Reeves. What is he actually for?

Lookman not playing or on subs bench for Everton tonight....did I read somewhere that someone said he was coming to us on loan?

I could see that happening give him some playing time but the liability is high for what they spent for him.

Was at the Blackpool game when over in UK for Xmas and my son was saying what a great stadium the Valley is although the offering on the pitch was lacking apart from Aribo goal. We were offered tickets for Spurs at Wembley when Kane broke the record. We were so far from the pitch and although the football was far superior the experience was a bit sterile. Hopefully we get new owners and there will be better days ahead. Happy New Year.
  • Better second half but we didn't really look very threatening. Woeful first half, Sarr was appalling and Reeves almost invisible.

KR is clueless and we've now gone eight games without a win. What will he blame today's fiasco on?

Aribo should have started as Reeves seems to have been truly Charltonised.
  • Robinson to blame for this one. Forster Caskey didnt look fit in the 1st half,Reeves?? Was he even playing? Magennis? Dear God,does he have something on Robinson because hes been dogshit for weeks but still starts every game. Holmes ran down blind alleys as usual and central defence was awful. Apart from that,we shouldve probably snatched an undeserved point but are we meant to be happy with that? This takeover needs to happen for the sake of everything Charlton.
