I won't be renewing until the takeover is done that's for sure - when Murray gets back he must surely make another statement - I'll see what he says before deciding whether to protest or not. No statement and I will protest.

@DOUCHER mate, you should stay on this thread. On this thread you’re a hundred miles away from being the biggest idiot on it and your post even makes sense. Great effort.
thanks fluffer - your kind words mean so much to me

Murray has lived off of past glories for far too long. As for the suggestion he walks? It will never happen as money is his god and he feels justified to take in the debt owing. He like Daisy, have gotten off very lightly.

He doesn't need to be there to get the £2.6m he is owed; there are six others owed £4.4m on the same terms who aren't on the board.
Why he hangs around as you rightly say while others are owned money is a mystery to me. Don't see the other six doing the same
He presumably hangs around because he supports the club he has invested time and money in.

    Rolly is the enemy here.
You can still support the club without sitting on the board and being RD mouthpiece. The others are regularly seen at the ground (exception being David Hughes whose true love is London Broncos Rugby League)

Spot on. I don't see a problem with him being involved but equally, if it were for the good of the club and a new regime didn't want him involved, he should leave. Personally, i think his involvement has always been with the best interests of the club in mind. Others feel he is a liar and / or only after money obviously have their reasons but i'm unaware of these so ignore them. The only thing that matters now is this takeover happens asap and hopefully we end up with someone good for CAFC.

Its is not a bit late in the day now.
Whats the plan before the end of the season 1or 2 protests maybe then its the end of the season, thats not going to bother roland.
I always thought tge aim was to get roland out so why no protests this season up till now
  • @Fumbluff starting to appear a bit stalky to be honest. Poor old @DOUCHER farts in Charlton and your running to open windows in Dartford

    *you're
  • I imagine Murray told us what he was told - and that a price has been agreed seems to be a bit of a stretch - He reminds me of Darth Vader standing by the shoulder of the Emperor. Mind you, at least Darth Vader eventually turned on him!

Actions on his doorstep are the things that piss him off.

Money and time are required though, quite rightly many people need to spend these on more important things.

If people have both, and the inclination then get hold of those who have gone before, go out there and irritate him.

I was hoping he may be able to write a bit on me when airman writes his book about the RD years/protests/takeover but i'm not sure i would be portrayed correctly although there are quite a few others on here who would probably show me in an even less favourable light!!!! Be boring if we all agreed - vive la discussion as they say somewhere between france and england

Bexley Dan, you'd be portrayed as the best midfielder Charlton never signed

  • We really are going over the same ground. But in a way it’s getting worse. Miere was useless, poisoned the club, she has gone but no visible improvement. Statements are made regarding the sale of the club but it drags on with nothing from Roland, apathy towards the club by supporters grows.
I am in my 60s, I sat in the car park in the protests. I care about my club but the destruction of the club appears to have no end.
The poison is deep. I see a squad of players that should be in the top 3. I do not know if Robinson is the issue but I have seen for the last four months rubbish on the pitch.
I wake up this morning, it’s snowing, cold. It’s easy to decide, do I want what I have in the past been happy with. A car journey from Hertfordshire, finding somewhere to park, trying to get home through the tunnel. I am sad the decision is easy- no.
When ( hopefully not if) the club is sold there are years of rebuilding to do.
RD , KM etc have lots to answer for, but I am sure they are not bothered.

    First class post.

Should we go into the new season with Duchatelet, wtf will be running the show?

    So sad.
  • Thank you. ElfsborgAddick. I am truly saddened by it all. I am still switching channels while watching the rugby to see the Charlton score. So all is not completely lost.

    I agree.

I imagine the Protest Fund is still available if money is required?
  • One would assume so if people are going to use it to protest.

    @Davo55 @Curb_It I believe are in charge?

thing is i had goals in me - only played on the valley pitch once - scored 4 - i could have been a contender!!!!! admittedly against a lot of 'seasoned' players - i actually played in the same team as gordon watson , scott minto and damian matthews when younger - i was never good enough to be a pro but i will maintain to this day i had more footballing ability than semedo as a centre midfield player. btw - the team i played in had better players than those 3 who never made it - a game of opinions and taken chances!!!

That's correct folks. The protest fund remains available for any individuals or groups who want to stage a protest. A proper case would need to be made and we would need to be satisfied that the expenditure would be worthwhile. As a matter of policy we do not cover personal travel expenses or similar - the exception having been the subsidised travel for the combined Unity Protest last year. We would also be very careful not to fund anything that could potentially result in legal action against the fund, it's managers or it's contributors.
  • Is there much left? Might be time for a call for a top up, I'd imagine, with both CARD and ROT plans on the horizon.
  • Has any decision been made on what sort of protest?

I’m not sure I understand this @Lewis Coaches

As far as I’m aware RD no longer owns STVV??
  • When his new hotel open?

No, but he still owns the Stayen and I believe he still attends their home games.
  • Cheers addicked..

If hes's still here, I for one won't be. Enough is enough.

  • Got to say, it would be funny to book out the whole of his new hotel with charlton fans on opening night - now there's a dilemma - pay for a room or protest outside?
  • Bring it forward!

    If you can.
  • if a sale has not materialised by the end of June latest then we need to launch a large initiative in Belgium. Really mess up his business interests. It does get under his skin.

While I applaud the reintroduction of protests, with no-one being there (CEO, owner etc) who gives a crap I'm not sure of how successful they will be unless CARD has something very imaginative up their sleeves which will grab media attention here and in Belgium.

Throwing their not inconsiderable weight of expertise, media contacts, publicity skills etc...... behind the ROT campaign would be a good starting point. Better late than never.
Just seen CARD do exactly that on Facebook. Thank you.
