The possible small amount of money that this would put into the Belgians hand is immaterial on this one. The support for our team going into a defining match is very material. I will continue my boycott if the Belgian hasnt gone next season, but JJ has been a great servant of the team and the fans as well as being part of the club. This is one of the occassions when we have to swallow our dislike of givng the Belgian anything and support the team in their attempt to stay in the playoff places and support our assistant manager who deserves a send off from his playing role (even if I would suggest he stays on the bench until the game is won and has only a cameo)
This from the gentleman that wrote back in August that Duchaletet and Meire have proved that Charlton fans were wrong about them.
If you want to go Saturday its your money, so do as you see fit, not cause someone has wrote an article about a club man that sadly won't be out there in a red shirt.
My now just 8yr old daughter loves Jacko & ive been trying to keep her interested in all things CAFC whilst I,family & friends have been boycotting (2 seasons now) & yes it is hard, very hard, more so for my littleun than me at the mo...she keeps talking bout Arsenal,Chelsea,Hammers it's hurting me...I told her ages ago that Jacko's last game could possibly be this one...I was hoping we would have been sold by now, well last wk she looked at calendar & saw what I had wrote about Jacko's farewell game...& asked if we were going to game for a hotdog (from outside of ground) & to say thank you to her idol...well with a very heavy heart against all things Douchbag,I have relented this one time & went direct to shop to buy, nanny, grandad, myself & my littleun's family stand ticket for this occasion, she understands also this is a one off till we are in the capable hands of someone who gives a shit about our beloved CAFC...
I don’t get back to the UK until after the game on Saturday, but as much as I love Jacko, I would still keep my boycott. I’ll be trying to get to Rochdale and remember all those brilliant away days he’s given us over the last few years.
Hopefully, there’ll be three more games after that as well!!
No way is Two Shats having any of my cash. I'll be at Rochdale though.
Unless you are going to buy a ticket directly from Rochdale then I suspect RD has had the benefit of your cash and no doubt thanks you for your contribution...
I think my £20 to RD on Saturday will be a drop in the ocean compared to the amount I've kept away from him over the last two seasons.
The reason I want to get down there this weekend is because this part of the season is so vital, anything can happen from here on out. We can give ourselves a slight advantage over the numerous teams in and around us if we can carry last weeks' passion, from on and off the field, into our remaining two games. It's all about momentum.
So support makes a difference , it doesn't imo, one result pompey against all the other gazillion when we had loads of fans prove to me it matters not who is there , it's all up to the players to perform.
that saying i'd still prefer us to have good away support as opposed to shit

Away clubs keep five per cent of the net ticket value from tickets sold by them (AFAIK). In the case of a £22 Rochdale ticket I make that 92p (plus any booking fee, less any postage).

May that day draw near.

Jacko has been great for the club and wish him nothing but the best, however this is no reason to end the boycott imho.
I apologise for my sins...
Cmon U Addicks...!!
If Jacko wants to get me a freebee ticket then I will come. I support Charlton he supports Arsenal, so its easy for him to say.

I understand the concept and I am no RD fan, but a lack of the support for the team is not something I will encourage.

However hopefully Jacko will be given a testimonial under new ownership, that I would happily go to and give him the send off he deserves.
