I am somebody who loves my meat, but if I had to kill my food, I'd be a vegetarian. I think Vegetarians and Vegans have a stronger moral position than me.
Using the same logic, where would you put a meat eater who does kill their own food?
It's easier to be a vegetable farmer than a livestock slaughterer because when you're on a 6 ton combine harvester you don't see all the field animals getting cut up or the aquatic life being killed by pesticide run off.

Tate Modern removes Foie gras* from its Christmas menu following complaints from animal advocates and an enquiry from The Independent.
*Foie gras comes from the fatty, enlarged livers of ducks and geese that have been force-fed grain and fats, twice a day or more, until they are grossly overweight.
One has to ask: Why the heck was it on the menu in the first place? Anyway, another win for the animals.
Hopefully it's just calculated awareness raising about the wool industry... If this is serious then they are actually setting their cause back with this kind of shit.

Not even the Christmas ritual yet either.

The Labour Party announced earlier this year that it will halt foie gras imports, and included the pledge in a list of proposals on animal welfare:

Grief for them, pleasure for you. Sums you up.
For the record, VG is right. Foie gras is amazing. Especially a slice of it in a veal burger.

Stupid publicity stunt because 'all news is good news'
Best thing to do is just ignore it - even most animal rights people know that PETA are fucking nuts
