  • Ton for Joe 243-2

    lead 285
  • Hundred for Super Joe!

    242-2 ... Joe 101* DBD 77*
Great to see Joe back in form
  • 254-3 D B-D gone for 79.

    Lead 296
  • No real surprise that it took Joe a little while to get back into the swing of things having played such little cricket.

Hopefully he kicks on, makes a few more and then we get to see a Kent lad bat at 3 against The Aussies!

    They're off for bad light.

    277-3 Denly 111* lead 319

EDIT: Theoretical 11 overs left but will reduce presumably dependent on how long they're off.

Would be good but rather he played for us and kept us in Div One.
  • Declare overnight? I'd say so, especially with rain about

No rain forecast tomorrow. 10 / 15 overs to have a rack, to put the game out of reach.

We'll be fine this year with only one going down.

No idea where that confidence comes from as a Kent fan!

If we finish second-from-bottom don't be surprised if either the ECB change it to two going down or the usual "points scored" criteria for determining league position gets changed to something else where we're worst.

In short: don't trust the buggers.

Beating Notts would significantly improve our chances of staying up as they're definitely one of our main relegation rivals. Indeed it'll probably be between Kent, Warks and Notts.
  • Kent declare on 363-5 (Denly 167*)

    Notts need 406 to win
  • Duckett's off like he wants this done by tea ;)

  • wicket for Leuth
  • Might still be done by tea!
  • 43-2

  • Hang on to your hats folks.....we’re in with a shout here!
  • 43-3

    363 required
  • 54-4

Beginning to wish I'd gone down, though if I had Notts would have finished on 220-1

can they take 6 wickets in 2 sessions? needed the new 2nd ball to mop up the first innings despite helpful conditions
  • Prediction:

    9 down wickets by 2:25pm

Kent then spend four hours chasing leather as the No 11 helps himself to an unbeaten ton and guides Notts to a draw.

And for the new spinner Rayner too. Taking wickets when the ball goes soft has usually been our weakness
  • Wicket for Mulder.

So far 3 for Podders, 1 each Stewart, Rayner and Mulder
