  • I've just read that Shakira is Gerard Piqué's partner .. she is certainly a bonnie lass ((:>).. BUT can she play football ?

    Embedded video
I'm not sure Piqué cares https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n7JWHBnMPCs
  • as usual, swap the 1/4 backs, reverse the result .. Mahomes is the new magic kid on the block ((:>)
I’m not sure about the first statement. Shanahan played a huge part in blowing this game, just like he did with Atlanta. Maybe he does it differently if he had Mahomes, but he’s got form now for doing the wrong thing.
It wasn't Shanahan who lost the ability to throw the ball in the 4th quarter.

  • It was a cracking game, one of the best for quite some time.  Mahomes is a hell of a talent; put him on the other side and it's probably a similar score to when the 49ers played the Broncos back XXIV but I'm not sure the Chiefs would have even scored 10.
  • not an NFL fan myself but have just seen that two Jacksonville Jags home games have been moved to london. didn't realise they only play 8 home games in a season. cant believe the jacksonville locals who have season tickets are happy that they lose 25% of their games to london.

I'm a Jags fan and I'm really not happy about this either. I chose to support them after a mate got me interested back in 2017, and was lucky enough to attend a game in London. But I was under the impression that that would generally be a one-off and not something that would be expanded on.

The team I chose to support shouldn't be some sort of weird Jax-London hybrid. I don't want there be the inevitable alienation between London fans and US fans, nor the flat atmosphere that can come with being in London.

That said, there are rumours this is only for one year while Lot J (parking area next to the stadium) is being redeveloped, or something like that.

It doesn't sit well with me though. I don't want London to "steal" a team when the city could easily support one of its own, if the NFL wants to go down the international route.

There’s an inconsistency in his approach. He defers on the coin toss. The intention when you that is to try and get the last score before half time and then score again on the first possession of the second half.

He tried to run the clock out. Why? Conjecture is that didn’t trust Jimmy G to execute the plan, and the Chiefs would get the last possession.

So why, later I the game, with a two score lead, when you want to bleed the clock, do you start throwing the ball around using the same QB you didn’t trust to execute the 2 minute drill?

So yes, Jimmy G was not completing passes. So why keep calling pass plays? That exactly how Atlanta lost to the Pats. Aggressive calls at the wrong time.

I love watching the mic’d up videos any game any time, always an interesting watch. but when it’s my team winning the Super Bowl you can be sure I’m watching this one 20 times.

Steve you do know there's a no porn rule on this site?
  • Looks like the playoff structure is about to change.

7 teams from each conference rather than 6, with just the number 1 seed getting a bye.
  • Don't like it.

One additional mediocre team gets to the playoffs

They do need to sort the seeding out though.  This year there could have been a team with a losing record getting home advantage against a wild card with better record.  Nobody with a losing record should get in the playoffs,  nevermind getting a home game
  • If this happens 8-8 teams will regularly start getting in. I don't like it, devalues the competition.

A win in the NFL with only 16 games is so important in comparison to the rest of the American sports, where they play a stupid amount of games.

Definitely agree they need to sort out seeding though. Potentially having a 7 win team at home to an 11 or 12 win team is ridiculous.
  • i agree re seedings but they will counter that with 'where is the reward for winning your division'

Well maybe if you're in a shit division you don't deserve a reward.

And I am saying this full well knowing that I support a team in the AFC South.

Been enjoying the latest All or Nothing featuring The Philadelphia Eagles ( wash my mouth out with soap ) especially the episode where the Vikings gave them a good pumping. Don’t think I will ever get my head around the nuances of the numerous plays and defending tactics although I have only been into it for a couple of years so far.
  • Is it time for the 2020 thread yet? On-field part of the combine starts in two days and all.
  • Go for it Padster.
  • Let's go! Combine week!
