    And that is very much the point. 4 slips and a gully as opposed to no slips. It's a game of patience not "see ball hit ball".

    This shows just how short of options we have at the top of the order in the longer version of the game. 
    I am one of Roy's biggest fan's and in limited overs cricket he is one of the top openers in the world. 
    Not sure he will make it as a test opening batsman though. 
    Time will tell I suppose.

    We are a bit "pot committed" with Roy and he does deserve his chance. However, it is down to Root's stubbornness is the reason that they have had to give him this opportunity.
