  • Hard to tell from that angle but looks like he shinned it and it looped in, there's no way he meant to place it there.
  • Very important win for Watford though, as they now have a 4 point gap to the bottom 3.
  • Bottom three look doomed.
  • Jesus isn’t good enough for City
Neither is Zinchenko, and considering Mendy is always injured City must surely be looking for a left back this summer.
Seen them linked with Chilwell. I'd go for Telles if I was them. Although guess they will need an English player but Chilwell at 60mil is very steep.
You play fifa? lol outside of that not really heard much about Telles, Chilwell is very good and would fit perfect, but as you say English player inflation could be better elsewhere. Bayern have the best LB in the world (potentially) for years, wonder what he would cost?
  • Chilwell is surely going to Chelsea or City. Spurs won't afford him.
  • Bottom three look doomed.
Indeed as tomorrows fixtures are Bournemouth v Spurs and Villa v Man Utd.
  • Chilwell is surely going to Chelsea or City. Spurs won't afford him.
Why would Chilwell even want to go to Spurs?
  • West Ham play Norwich on Saturday. Win that and they're safe

The Norwich fixture was perfect timing for Watford...

No chance Spurs paying prices quoted for Chilwell.
They baulked at paying £50m for Max Aarons (and rightly so, he's got some promise but not at that prices!)

Kyle Walker-Peters will be coming baxk from his loan at Palace and likely to see a lot more of Dennis Cirkin next season, a very pacey & skillful left sided full back/wingback/winger next season.  And Taranagrangarangaranga (sounds more like a Sri Lankan opener) will be getting more game time at RB.

Oh and Dier's just been banned for 4 games and fined £40k if anyone hasnt seen (for the crowd incident against Norwich in the FA Cup)

Ridiculous yet unsurprising that Dier has been banned and fined to that crowd incident

Footballers are basically expected to be robots these days!!

My issue is that it should have been dealt with at the time, not 4-5 months later, 4 days away from the NLD.  Stinks of a stitch up.  Especially when Guendouzi the Poodle commits attempted murder on Maupay and gets away scott free.
  • Arteta has applied Guendouzi's ban for that tbf

He's at Southampton isn't he? Best player on the pitch against City.

Loaning him out, selling Trippier and keeping Aurier is the worst piece of squad management I've seen in a long time.

    On BBC Gossip today:-

Spurs may look for a loan move for Sessegnon this summer amid fears the 20-year-old's development is stalling under boss Jose Mourinho. (Telegraph)

Yeah, sorry Southampton.  Brain dead today.

The RB situation has been a monumental fuck up.

Trippier was poor last season and can understand why Poch lost faith in him.  Think Poch was promised a replacement but it never came.  From memory, we was after Aarons from Norwich or the young lad at WBA but the signing never materialised.

To be fair to Aurier, he looks much more solid now.  He had an off day against Shef Utd but has been one of our better players this season.

Walker-Peters is a real talent.  Poch got the best out of him in attack when he played but the defending was the issue.   He needs games and it'll come.

Taranga looked the part at CB and filled in at RB ok.  Just a shame he picked up an injury in lockdown.

Do we have a place for a player who could play left back/left back/left winger? He might not match the subtlety, goals or skill that the likes of Purrington, Sarr or Oshilaja bring to the side but he might just fit in.

  • Thought he was a right back/winger?

Shhhh don't say that, it ruins the chance of people having a pop at Bowyer and the players on a completely unrelated thread just because lol

Left definitely. He has a twin brother called Steven - not sure if he's right or left sided
  • Thanks.

Right sided.  Spurs tried to buy them as a pair but Fulham unsurprisingly said no.

So Ryan is left sided and Steven is right. Even though they are twins their careers have been different (102 vs 15 starts) albeit that Ryan's has now somewhat stalled.
  • Man City 14 off 100 goals in league. 4 games to go, they could do it.
  • Brighton trying to play their way out from the back.

    Losing 2-0.
  • Talking of twins I am trying to think how many I can recall playing for the same English side:

Alan and Garry Kimble for us

    Ryan and Steven Sessegnon (Fulham)

    Ian and Roger Morgan (QPR)

    Fabio and Raphael (Man United)

Ron and Paul Futcher (Chester, Luton and Man City)

Rod and Ray Wallace who also had brother Danny in the same Southampton team at one point - three brothers in the same side must be a record?

    Josh and Jacob Murphy (Norwich)

    Adam and James Chambers (WBA)

    David and Dean Holdsworth (Watford)

    Marcus and Martin Olsson (Blackburn)

Michael and Will Keane (Man United)

Can't think of anyone else unless Phil and Tracey Neville for England is allowed! Still, that's enough for an XI side match albeit that they will have to fight over who is going to go in goal for the respective sides.

  • Brighton have been awful at the back, gifting Liverpool 2 goals, but since then have actually been playing some decent football in attack

I have just found out that some of the bin dippers are moaning that the Man City guard of honour wasn't "respectful enough".

I don't need much prompting, but thanks for reminding me why I detest your shitbag club and it's followers so much.
To be honest P, I thought it was a poor show from the City players and disrespectful.

Half hearted clapping and one side of the 'guard' jogged off before three or four of the Liverpool players had got passed them.
I think if Charlton had won the Premier league, the number of fucks given by our fans would be zero.

It's not enough to win the league, everyone has to bow down and worship them.

Despite their massive success, it's still not enough for some of the followers. Probably the ones from Basingstoke and Great Yarmouth; in fairness, I am sure there is a proportion of their support that is embarrassed by it.
  • Hope the guard of honour Brighton gave them was respectful enough for them after complaining about City.
