Who's off for us? Pearce with a late thuggish fully committed challenge after being beaten for pace?
Fixed that mate........Get into em and f**k em up 😈.
Haven't heard that beautiful chant in years...
  • Fuck em. Anyway since they shut the Porcupine Mottingham has been an absolute dump.

    Charlton 5  Mottingham 0
  • Bowyer is brilliant at adapting tactics minute by minute (Robbo please take note) and the lads are battlers - let by strong characters like Lyle, Pearce and Pratley.

I don’t think we will win but Forest are going to have to be as good as the weekend to get anything.

Baby Beckham to score anytime 4/1 with Unibet.
    COYR.
  • would take a draw keep the unbeaten run going.
  • After seeing Kent snatch Defeat from the jaws of Victory over 8 hrs yesterday at Canterbury, I need Cafc to lift me up ?
    After 26 wickets i'm not sure I could take a 7 goal thriller, unless it's 6-1 to us !
Hard fault draw for me 1-1
    COYR.

Met quite a few Kent/Charlton fans yesterday including one posh guy who's a good friend of Roger Alwen.

  • Hemed to start. Otzumer on the bench. Leko to score the winner coming on as sub.
    2-1
    (Excited)
  • I may have dreamt this but did we have a Friday night game against Forest that was called off very late.

I'm sure we did and I turned up at the Valley and there were a few people milling about who were as stupid as me.
  • To be fair, Leeds will be dropped like a ton of bricks in January when Sky instead concentrate on Wayne Rooney's Derby County...

And even better for them we will have played Derby twice by the end December so they won't have to show us!
Just in time for the famous "Bielsa Burnout" to start to kick in too.
  • No flight delays. Really looking forward to this. See my old Mum on the way up and meeting at the burger van for 6.45. Lucky row H in the east stand so fingers crossed.

  • Vaguely remember in 1998 we were top after two games and went to Forest midweek.

Our bubble was well and truly burst by a four nil defeat.

It was down hill from there and we were relegated.

So on that and Forest's ability to score goals our first defeat in the league this season beckons.

    0 - 2

'Bring back Sarr, drop Pratley" posted before the team leave the pitch.
That was Manchester United (lost 4-1 after Kinsella gave us the lead); Forest we beat 1-0 at their place
the previous season when both CAFC and Forest were promoted (Wembley Mk 1 for us), Forest beat us 5-2 at their place … I was there for that one in the Forest 'end' and did I get some stick ((:>) .. that precipitated Curbs signing Bowen and Youds, possibly Mills as well .. from then on we were as tight as a duck's arse in defence .. IF memory serves
  • Don’t forget the “Yellow “ day up at their place.
  • I’ve a soft spot for Forest as I went to the European Cup Final against Maimo in Munich 1979
    winning 1-0
i was working in Germany at the time (Auf Wiedersehen Pet) and got the Sack the next day for taking the day off.
  • Looking forward to a good game against a proper club where we should feel under no pressure due to our start. Think we are due a defeat though and maybe this could be the first slip up. Lets be positive, a 1-1 draw which could go either way.

excuse me for quoting my good self .. that season we beat forest 4-2 at the valley. we murdered, mullered and marmalized them (well we won easily) .. walking round the ground before the game, I got chatting to the reporter from BBC Radio Nottingham .. she asked me for a few words to say to the Notts listeners and what score did I predict .. I said a reverse of the City Ground score, 5-2 to us .. 'yeah right , you'll get a draw at best' she said .. never saw her again to correct her assertion .. pity as she was very cute ((:>)
  • So we lost 7-6 on aggregate @Lincsaddick, still I suppose what goes round comes around with that score line 😉.
  • the only prediction i will make is that we wont keep a clean sheet ...

don't tell me .. you were there for the Hudds 7/6er ((:>) .. as for Forest, we lost the aggregate score but won the style and presentation award .. we had Mendonca, Bright, Jones and Kinsella who just eclipsed Pierre van Hooijdonk and Kevin Campbell

No mate I wasn't there v Uddersfield 7-6 Dad probably was. Saw the 7-4 demolition of top of the league Pompey and 6-6 v Boro in the 60/61 season though. Must have been at the 4-2 v Forest because I had a season ticket for sure along with Dad and my son.
  • If we can beat the then European Champions 2-0 in Feb 2006, we can certainly beat the 1979 and 1980 European Champions.

Be that as it may, you can understand a bit of hubris on their part, given Forest’s history. They are a club I certainly  respect.

I have watched practically no Championship football in recent years but think we’ll give it a really good go tonight and think we’ll get something out of the game.

  • My first game of the season as been on holiday. Therefore it's going to be a hum dinger.

4-3 Charlton with our winning goal coming in the last few minutes to send the Valley into 'scenes'

    Either that or 0-0......
  • Solly and JfC In Nando’s so not playing. Solly we knew about but JfC might surprise a few

    Nah not really.
  • Forest got a great result at Leeds butto be fair Leeds were wasteful with their chances and got punished for it.
our midfield need to dominate tonight, and if they do then I can see victory.
Gut tells me forest may just edge this 2-1. Hopefully not.
3-0 nil at half time would be dream land.

Maybe Kayal or Oztumer on the bench then

Key for my tonight is the performance over result. I realise how little sense that makes.

Id like to see if we can dominate possession at home against a passing team. I think that cullen and gallagher could have forest chasing shadows.

Ive put a tenner on a Jonny Williams hat-trick. He he he. Open the floodgates and all that.

Come on you reds. Now we got Lee Bowyer, we're blooming dynamite

Edit - that hattrick has to come in the last 25 minutes though! Doh!

He couldn't see the drivers face, just the top of his head, but he was in a Tesla so the car was able to drive itself there.
