Taylor is essential in holding the ball up and Williams is our main route to taking players on (he is also brilliant at seeing out a game and winning fouls) with either of them there yesterday, we would have drawn that game easily, with both of them we would have won. Add to that Sam Field who is needed to give Pratley a rest and both the full-backs that you would want to play five at the back, it is frankly amazing that we have done as well as we have over the past month.
We are well away from trouble, and will hopefully start to get some players back after the break. Despite the result, I would still be far more worried to be a Millwall fan this morning, because at home, they were no better than a severely weakened CAFC team on Saturday.
The future is looking very rosy, we just need to get there. After that we should have more Huski money coming in, and the regeneration of the area as well coming up . So the future is looking ok for us as well.
in answer to someone’s question earlier in the thread, so I think the result would’ve been different if NH was still in charge. I’m almost certain we would have lost that yesterday if Harris was still in charge and relegation definitely beckoned.0 -

Still absolutely gutted about yesterday. A set piece like that in the last minute should of been dealt with so much better.
Reading the comments though and must say credit is due to @Big_Bad_World and @MillwallFan for coming on here and not gloating on the Win. Quite gutted the international break is round the corner, just want Cardiff at Home to happen tomorrow, just to forget about yesterday. Just hope the return game at The Valley in April will be 100% better than yesterday's result at The Toolbox.I'm not surprised at all that @Big_Bad_World or @MillwallFan are not gloating - they have both always come across as very decent guys.On the international break comment - we need it badly and it couldn't have come at a better time.I can be a bit of a cock when I’ve had a few but generally I try to stay polite.16 -

Your best chance of scoring against us, especially with your current squad, was always likely to be with set pieces and the aerial threat of Matt Smith, rather than silky football. Indeed Harris might have brought Smith on earlier or started him0 -
He is not the Messiah he is just a very naughty boy... allegedly!0

We really really need Taylor and Williams back asap to give the side that injection of quality.
And God forbid anything happens to Gallagher - we will be well and truly fucked.2 -
Looking at the league table, worth noting that Luton and Barnsley the other promoted sides are on worse runs than us. Barnsley look certs for relegation while Luton have lost 4 in a row and have conceded 11 more goals than us.
Survival was always the main aim this season, and we were always likely to have a blip or two. Two crucial and winnable games coming up, Cardiff and Luton. The latter is a bit of a 6 pointer really.17 -

I wish I hadn’t seen that view of the goal from the video taken by CharltonChoiceTV as it makes Sarrs defending look even worse.0

I challenge anyone on here to have the fucking bollocks to say it to the players faces.

You win as a team and you lose as a team. Sarr's fault for the second for sure but the reaction from people on CL is, as standard, way over the top. I like Sarr, it's not like he doesn't try, it's just he makes a few mistakes. Lets have it right he is on he limit of his ability in this league. Bowyer picked him, he made a mistake, it's sport it happens. Get behind the lad he will be needed.7

It’s not just our dreadful record against them over the years it’s the number of times we have conceded late goals that have led to us losing or drawing.
Since my first Millwall Charlton derby game I attended in 1988/89 season I have seen them score in the last 5 mins/injury time on 6 different occasions. Beyond embarrassing.

1StevieG said:Just seen the highlights and Sarr not attacking that ball in from the corner is why Smith scored. Sarr is becoming a liability not just for us but opposing players as well if you look at the result of his cynical foul on Johnson last

Apparently, yesterday was their 3rd sell out of the season.
QPR 16808
Leeds 16311
Charlton 17109
Not sure how a sell out figure changes, also in the last four seasons that they have played us, 3 of those were the biggest gates of the season, their cup final.2 -
Yeah, I said promotion CAMPAIGN. And it was Phillips' error in the final, remember :P0

A smiley means it is a joke.
I'd never boo Sarr or any Charlton player.
I am allowed to say that he cost us the game though with his 2 mistakes.
The truth whilst not always common is still allowed even in 2019.1 -

ticked all the boxes of us away there - having said that, i said to my mate with 5 to go that if they score i would happily be nicked or end up in hospital if i any one of them got close to me enough after the game - in hindsight, being held back for 45 minutes probably isn't a bad thing - in the cold light of day, a curse is a curse, i've only myself to blame for keep going to the fixture - i don't condone violence but in this fixture i do - walked past the bunch of grapes on the way to a party and it was like the wild west in there - hopefully we smashed the fuck out of any lairy millwall gobshite in there and from what i saw from outside i think we did - good.1
