The percentage of negative feedback for the introduced 'kids' this season currently stands at about 3% in terms of mistakes or faults, and lines up against 97% praise for doing their best when called on against physically stronger players, more experienced players, they have given of their best, have not melted and shown more than a few signs of promise. If people are understandably disappointed about results look at the wider picture, it does not seem at all right to unload that disappointment on to individuals who have stepped up when asked.
I don't understand the argument that academy players shouldn't be criticised - it doesn't do them any favours. It's a bit patronising to give them meaningless praise.
Most of our young players did okay yesterday and will improve with experience - how many have a career at Championship level remains to be seen.
Nobody seems to have mentioned Stevenson here as I thought he had a very sound game,Nabby looked majestic at times,if he could just cut out the silly errors he is prone to,he would be some player. All in all a decent effort, but I must confess I do enjoy watching the old stagers like Barry who make the game look so easy.
I like Stevenson...he's definitely got something to offer. Keep him and loan out Lewis Page?
Went to sleep for their goal. Admittedly I didn't see the game so can't comment on his performance as a whole.
Both Sarr and Stevenson lost concentration at the same moment. Would have been a 0-0 otherwise.
Annoyed we used up three bits of luck in one game we lost anyway...
don’t worry about the Charlton players using up luck, the more they practice, the luckier they will get...they will start winning again, maybe even this coming weekend against a team they’ve already practiced against
