This is not how it is supposed to work. When players come back from a long injury you ease them back relying on the players around them to assist that. What we are having to do is rely on them.  There is no reason to assume we will be thrashed or not put up a fight. We have certainly done that at the Valley in particular, but it is going to be very tough and if everything aligns, a point may be the best we can hope for.
  • 9-0 to the Addicks. Naby Sarr cruelly denied a historic triple hat-trick by the dubious goals comity, who rule that his 45 yard volley, and ninth goal of the night, brushes the arse of a Fulham defender en-route to ripping the net clean off the covered end goal frame.
I love BeckenSarr but can you imagine what Leuth would be like after that?

He'd be so excited he'd drown in his own love juices.
  • I’ll put the foil hat away if I’m wrong but I don’t reckon we’ll see Field or Taylor tonight, the old “it’s just come a little too soon for them” slogan will be out.

They know we are still on our knees quality wise against a top team but don’t want to lower the morale pre match.

Fulham checking on fitness of Knocheart(?), went off on Friday with a hamstring problem. He'd be a big miss for them
  • Lockyer and Pearce were magnificent in the away fixture. Not sure what went wrong after that.

This could  get very tricky. Even if players return,  the spine of Cillen, Gallagher,  Williams and Taylor is not available and our defence looks shot to pieces. Surprised if Pratley can still stand up without medical assistance.

    1.2.

    Good.

Really shouldn’t risk any players with a hint of a problem with the big one coming up Saturday. 🤞

I'd much prefer we were cautious and had them raring to go for Barnsley than risk a further set back tonight.

Add Cullen and JFC to that as well.

Agreed, which is why I’ve banged on about getting some signings in now rather than jan 31st.  No short term urgency being shown.

We will huff and puff spraying balls everywhere, our set pieces and corners will make us look like an under 12s side. We lose 2-0

Both our goals scored against the league leaders West Brom at the last home game were from set pieces.

  • Accident and Parker overreacts. Shameful 😉

Where's the steel chair? Looks like a crap WWE fight

  • I'm going tonight. First night game of my half season ticket. In fact first night game in a while (excluding the playoffs last season). Very excited for this but not expecting any kind of result.

Despite being "in" every game we are on a terrible run and seem unable to buy a win. No idea how the returning injured players will play or even how much they will play. Bow is working miracles but it can't go on forever. Fulham are a very good side so I fear a defeat by 3 goals. Backing us to score but I am not sure we will be able to hold off sustained Fulham pressure. I reckon heads will drop for the first time this season.

Still for the life of me cant work out why the hell we are playing this tonight but okay.

Assuming JFC's setback means he isn't available?

Would love to see Cullen start but reckon he will be on the bench. One of Taylor or Field to 'Not make it' for the bench.

Flip side of that is that Field did play 30 mins in a behind closed doors for WBA so he may well be able to play a bigger part than we thought.

Having said all that its when expectations are the lowest that we always seem to come away with something.

    Basically I have no idea.

    1- Something

No chants for Southall this time.
  • Goal a minute for Fulham, 0 - 95.

Maybe try " Southall, Southall, give us a clue, Southall, give us a clue "?

I know I’ve just corrected myself in the Taylor thread.

Oztumer is supposed to be a DBS. There's no point in him being in the box for a corner, so he should at least take them.
  • Amos and Page in the u23s today. That's a positive sign.

No Aneke. So either hes broken down again or he may make an appearance on the bench???

Scored a hattrick last week so I reckon he's on the bench tonight

Someone lent me one of those once. I scratched a hubcap when parking :-(

    DBS = Dead Ball Specialist.....
  • our favourite scoreline 2-2 with an injury time equaliser....to whom I have no idea...
  • Got to miss this one unfortunately so hopefully we will do well in my absence.

Even a point would be good.
