I'd be shocked if Williams starts after playing 60mins against Barnsley, swap him and Oztumer around with the latter coming on with 30mins to go

Found it interesting too that Bowyer said Field had played in a behind closed doors game for West Brom before coming back so would start him over Cullen

    So me it would be

    Phillips
    Solly | Lockyer | Oshilaja | Sarr | Purrington
    Pratley | Field
    Oztumer
    Green | Hemed

    Maynard-Brewer | Pearce | Matthews | Williams | Aneke | Taylor | Cullen

Doubt Field will start, more likely to be Cullen imo. Though I reckon there might be one or two less returnees than people are expecting/hoping for.
  • Fingers crossed we'll get a result.  I fear teams like Fulham based on the attacking talent they have available, that said, we've not suffered a defeat by more than a 2 goal margin all season, the game we conceded 3 in (sheff wed), we only conceded the 3rd because we were pushing to equalise in and they scored right at the death.

Pleased to read of some of these players coming back, but it will take time for them to get up to speed.

    Philips

    Matthews Lockyer Pearce Sarr Doughty

    Dempsey Pratley Oztumer

    Hemed Green

Subs Maynard Brewer, Oshilaja, Cullen, Field, Williams, Aneke, Davidson,
  • The OS:

"Tickets are available from the stadium on the day, but supporters should note that a £3 increase on adult, over 65s and U21 tickets kick in 2 hours before kick off."

Isn't it about time Katrien Nightmeire's ticket tax is repealed?

Gone for Field over Cullen myself as the former has actual minutes - Cullen on the other hand hasnt played since mid-November

Amos and Page in the u23s today. That's a positive sign.

No Aneke. So either hes broken down again or he may make an appearance on the bench???
Page lasted 12 mins unfortunately. Think that may be game over for the lad. Great shame.

Too many options now, squad needs trimming.
Felt really bad leaving out Doughty | Davison in my line up as they've been doing so well

Just think we'll go for experience tonight over them - Although wont be surprised if one is on the bench at least what with so many players returning

That's fair enough, just thought as Cullen was due to be involved on Saturday he might be ahead of Field. You watch probably neither will play!

  • If we raise our game for this one which I think we will, I fancy us to get something. 1-1 draw.

I'm going tonight. First night game of my half season ticket. In fact first night game in a while (excluding the playoffs last season). Very excited for this but not expecting any kind of result.

Despite being "in" every game we are on a terrible run and seem unable to buy a win. No idea how the returning injured players will play or even how much they will play. Bow is working miracles but it can't go on forever. Fulham are a very good side so I fear a defeat by 3 goals. Backing us to score but I am not sure we will be able to hold off sustained Fulham pressure. I reckon heads will drop for the first time this season.

Still for the life of me cant work out why the hell we are playing this tonight but okay.

Assuming JFC's setback means he isn't available?

Would love to see Cullen start but reckon he will be on the bench. One of Taylor or Field to 'Not make it' for the bench.

Flip side of that is that Field did play 30 mins in a behind closed doors for WBA so he may well be able to play a bigger part than we thought.

Having said all that its when expectations are the lowest that we always seem to come away with something.

    Basically I have no idea.

    1- Something

No chants for Southall this time.
Maybe try " Southall, Southall, give us a clue, Southall, give us a clue "?

Maybe try "are you Hulyer in disguise?"
Haha ...... when Mark Hulyer was Chairman at Charlton, Southall wasn't even born!

  • There is part of me that fears this will be the injury equivalent of Transfer Deadline Day.

We've got one in the bank early (Page), with up to three to follow by 10pm.

Jim White is saying "Stay tuned folks, we'll have reporters around all corners of the ground, and i can assure you, if any Charlton players get injured, you'll be the first to hear of it"...

NHTOB = Never heard that one before. :s:smile:

  • Don't see Cullen or Taylor being given much time today.

    Think we will get thumped

    Hope Hemid starts.

    Four nil Fulham
  • God I hope we don't play 3 at the back again. Fitness permitting I'd like to see the diamons again with:

    Phillips
    Matthews Oshilaja Lockyer Purrington
    Pratley Cullen Williams Oztumer
    Hemed Green

Preferrably with Taylor and Field fit enough to come on

I see you purposely left out Field and Cullen, but you’ve also forgotten Hemed.

We will have a stronger squad tonight, I have no doubt.

Gotcha, sorry lots of notifications and posts, missed things of not quite taken them in.
  • Shock clean sheet. Dodgy penalty for us. Two yellows for a Fulham defender. 1-0.
  • Green & Pratley for me...2-2 & another slow point towards safety....👍
  • Green & Pratley for me...2-2 & another slow point towards safety....👍
    I’ll go with that
  • We will huff and puff spraying balls everywhere, our set pieces and corners will make us look like an under 12s side. We lose 2-0
Both our goals scored against the league leaders West Brom at the last home game were from set pieces.

So did you watch Preston game  !
