Parker played 130 times for us and busted his guts out in every single one of them. The bloke left everything on the pitch, every game.
The way he left, when we were so close to being the best we’ve ever been.
He knew exactly what he was doing and it was the beginning of a decline we’re still trying to dig ourselves out of.
I will never welcome him back. But if I was there I’d turn my back rather than boo him. He doesn’t deserve any effort booing would take.
Prick.
No one seems to find Di Canio a prick, the opposite it seems.4 -

If he’d have stayed and played against Gills in the cup (we lost) I think it was next round or two we’d have had the scum and stopped them getting to the FA Cup Final and it would have been us losing to Man Utd in the final .
ok we’d have lost to the scum2 -
Pathetic still having bad feelings towards him ...
but
...
never forgive, never forget.
And I’ll never forgive him.3 -

He didn’t play though.2

Think I have finally forgiven him, especially as he acknowledged his time with us when we played Fulham away. In fact probably the saddest point is he ended up playing more appearances for us than any other club which shows just how he wasted his career at Chelsea on their bench.8

And all this we could have made the Champions League stuff or “it was the start of our current decline” (really?) is rubbish. We fell away the seasons previous with Parker In the team so there’s no guarantee we have finished any higher than 7th. And we stayed in the Premier League for another few seasons after he left.I hate the stick that he gets when he plays/manages against us and, after the shit that Grant and Fox got this season, it’s inevitable that he’ll get plenty on Wednesday from lots of people who probably didn’t even see him play. I can’t be doing with all that negativity and will be at home watching it on the red button.7 -

I had almost forgiven him but then he came back with Fulham (?) a few years ago and started arguing with and swearing at a fan in the crowd and I realised he’s still the same arrogant, self-important petulant child he was 15 odd years ago.1

Those driving runs he used to go on were utterly exhilarating and often preceded by a bone crunching tackle to win the ball back. He was like Johnnie Williams crossed with Kishishev. Got over it years ago, these days I'm sadder that it spoilt his potential a bit more than what it did to us.

It saddens me that people can still hold such a grudge against someone who made a big mistake (that we shouldn't forget ultimately adversely affected his England chances because it was the wrong move at the wrong time) but who gave his absolute all (and more) when he wore the Charlton shirt.
But if there is one person who felt let down the most at the time surely it was Cubishley? Well he got over it given that he signed him when at West Ham and it was the prospect of them working again together that made Parker opt for them over Spurs (who he did later sign for). Curbishley will never forget what went on but evidently did forgive him
So, if Curbishley can do it why can't we? Or, failing that, just ignore him? Because expecting Parker to show some class by not demanding a move and then giving him absolute dog loads of abuse is rather hypocritical isn't it?9 -

The team can’t hear your support if you are watching at home on Sky.
Not unless you live real close to the Valley and if you do, get your arse down the ground.2 -

Probably only 2nd to Bowyer as the best homegrown player I've seen in my 45 years supporting this club.
Still dislike him though. Just remind me ....how did his illustrious Chelsea career go....??2 -
