    In the fist 20 seconds he manages to get in drum, piano and guitar riffs each of which might ordinarily appear as an entity smack in the middle of a song

    Mansun - Attack of the Grey Lantern. I think every single song on this album is great.

    Elbow - Asleep in the Back. There're quite a few good songs on it: Powder Blue, Red, Newborn, Any Day Now.
