Also, why wasn't this streamed? Given clubs are cash strapped, charge everyone a fiver, make a bit of money.
I think they want these friendlies happening with as few people involved as possible hence no officials - So camera crew wouldn't have been allowed either

Ok makes sense I suppose. Can you have an automated single cam these days? I guess it depends on the set up. Either way, good point, point taken, might end up costing more than it brings in.

Dont think its about cost to be honest
More about as few people put at risk of corona
Be bloody ironic if these first matches happen, dont mean anything yet result in more players testing positive so the actual season cant resume
Minutes playing is the important thing, and chasing Arsenal around the pitch would have been a good work out. We have only been doing contact football since Monday so not a surprise.
Just checked the twitter accounts of those around us in the League and looks like no one else played today apart from Middlesbrough who had a in-squad training match
The important facts after Bow's comments. No injuries, and enough fit players to field two different starting 11's. Those two things massively outweigh a pointless scoreline

Aston Villa 2-2 West Brom appears to be another match that happened (Daily Mail the source)

The other factor about choosing Arsenal is that it'll have been a game where they'd have had the ball a lot more than our players
Thats going to happen a few more times this season (especially against Brentford and Leeds), players need to learn to be disciplined at keeping it tight and difficult for the opposition whilst holding position
Of course that didnt work today but we wont be facing too many more teams that have Champions League experience
Obviously the main intention was to get minutes, but I can't see this helping us much. What's the odds on us getting at least 1 long term injury from this game?
Yes, none of them should play footballl, ever, so there is no chance of geting injured, Ever!!
Very encouraging that Page seems to have come through unscathed. Really didn't think we'd see him in a cafc shirt again so hopefully he can play a part in games ahead.

"Lee Bowyer split his team up, playing two different 11s in each half."
That's 2 different games we lost today.
The first game was only 2-0; wearing my renowned rose-tinted specs, that's a decent scoreline against top class opposition, away from home.
The 2nd game, unfortunately finished in a 4-0 defeat, although not too bad a scoreline from our U23 development team.
We were only 1-0 at half time in that game too before changes started getting made

Amos was in goal second half as far as I know.
There is a larger picture on the Arsenal website which shows him with the No.4 on his back so its either Stevenson or one of the other graduates
Luca Vega and Sam Keefe are the only defenders on the U23s list who are remotely blonde haired
Phillips
Matthews Oshilaja Pearce Purrington
Green Cullen Forster-Caskey McGeady
Aneke
Hemed
Two changes were made first half, Forster-Caskey and Cullen came off, Field and Morgan came on, I think?
Amos | Doughty | Sarr | Lockyer | Page | Lapslie | Williams | Smith | Oztumer | Bonne | ? (the last three taken from individual pictures)
