This is a fantastic opportunity to sue the EFL for a lot of money. I mean, they sat on this to avoid an outcome and it won't be hard to prove. We all knew Wednesday were guilty. The problem is, the EFL have the power to kick us out of the league!
What is serious in general, is that Wednesday may get enough points next season to effectively avoid any punishment. They didn't this season! They may not have got relegated with players they bought and kept paying who they shouldn't have.
Wow wow wow. Not surprised in the slightest, but this is disgraceful. And angers me so much that if we weren’t such a mess ourselves, we would likely sue them. It’s beyond a joke and -12 is absolutely nothing either, pathetic punishment.
So if this season technically hasn't finished until the play off final is done, and fixtures for next season are not released yet, why can't they deduct it this season?
-12 next season is fine by EFL as they know we are not in a position to appeal/sue. If we had a decent owner in place, I’m unsure they’d have placed the deduction into next season.
How much would it cost us to get a legal expert to challenge this? The solution may be to not relegate us and have an extra team, but ESI have no interest in this opportunity. Can we do something as fans? Wigan have a different but valid argument here too.
Gutless efl. What sort of punishment is that? Pathetic. Theyve got the whole of next season to get those 12 points, theyll easily make that up. Ridiculous. EFL not fit for purpose.
If I was a Wigan fan I would ask, why does our 12 points happen this season? Why did they sit on the verdict, because if it really was as complicated as the time taken suggested, they couldn't have found Wednesday guilty. Let's be honest, the facts of the case have been common knowledge for a while and they were facts not interpretations of complex information that showed Wednesday were guilty as sin.
Watch all the other cheating bastards do the same,EFL have unleashed a shit storm, here was an excellent opportunity to punish a guilty party and they did not want to know.
The word 'reasonable' is a favourite word in law. The question is surely, was it reasonable for a club charged in November, not to receive a verdict until the last day of July in the next year? What was the nature of the independent panel, why did it take so long? Was the decision that complex to reach? I think it could very well be dodgy ground for the EFL. Their luck is that they haven't got Barnsley in our position. Surely this should be the end of this not fit for purpose organisation! A jobs for the boys stitch up if ever there was one.
Why can't Wigan ask for another chance to beat the 12 point deduction this season. True, they didn't manage it this season, but nor did Wednesday!
You'd at least expect the punishment to apply this season.
They were charged this season, their hearing was this season, the verdict was announced this season............but the punishment is applied next season. How does that work?

12 point deduction- next season. The EFL have bottled it, as was expected.

I stand by this 100%.
Bunch of cnuts
Utterly absurd from those wankers once again.
They only have to get 12 more points than the likes of Coventry, Rotherham and Wycombe and they've got away with it.
Cant be one punishment for one club and another one for a different team
