Didn't watch but slighlty concerning views on here regarding Levitt.
He's 19 and naive, that's all. Definitely a player in there, just needs to sort out his decision making and propensity to try and make a worldy pass when there are much better options available. He's here to learn and be coached.
Impressed again with Famewo, going to see a lot of him this season. Levitt looks very raw, always looking for the flashy pass and didn't pull it off too many times. He is missing the experience that Josh Cullen already had from his loan spells before he came to us.
Looked more dangerous with Aneke on, finally starting competing up top with their centre backs for the long balls resulting in a red card for them. Maddison if nothing else should give us a more cutting edge from set pieces.
Good to keep a clean sheet, thanks mostly to Amos and a little bit of luck with their awful finishing. Roll on another tough test in Wigan
I know that Covid is the de rigueur illness this year, but have hepatitis and HIV gone away completely? Can't believe Flanagan was allowed to play on with a bloody hand.
Not great, I know we're making some signings still but you'd say looking at today you'd want a lot more than we're likely going to get. Basically all of the back 4 were trash except Famewo, really don't want to see Pratley at centre back anymore.
Vennings and Levitt seemed to be playing to do the same job, need a midfielder who will get forward and score a few more goals and not sure we have that. Gilbey maybe, but again it seems like a game where someone like Morgan would be good but I've been beating that drum for about a year and he just won't give him a set of games.
Doughty is a really promising player, but at the moment we seem to be expecting him to be like Bale in his final season with Spurs and just win us the game and hoof it infront of him to run on to all the time, and that is ridiculous pressure on him.
When looking for positives, it's really hard to say anyone but Amos who looked a bit more like his Player of the Year performance from the starts. Aneke and Maddison look good options to get in there, but with Aneke hopefully at this level it's more than just spurts of promise and can do it for a 90
What's not promising going forward, was that 4 different formations in one game? Doesn't really seem to have a clear idea of what he wants
Awful first half with far too many passes going astray. Sunderland weren’t great either but certainly attacked more effectively than us and we were lucky not to go in 2 or 3 down. The miss from Danny Graham was one for the cheapo Christmas dvds. We were better in the second half without ever really achieving any fluency. No shots on target all match tells its own story, especially as Sunderland were down to 10 men for the final 20 minutes. Dylan Levitt might become a very good player but if he’s “the best passer at Man United”, as claimed, then I don’t want to see his competition. So many bad decisions, and so much poor execution.
Some positives though. Vennings played ok, Famewo had a good game, Maddison played a decent cameo and both of the other subs Jonny and (especially) Chuks had a positive influence on our performance. Mostly I'm just relieved that we got a point and that will do us at this stage, after two consecutive defeats. 4 points from 4 games and now a break in which to significantly strengthen the starting XI and build the foundation for a good season.
Edit: And a very positive mention for Ben Amos, who played very well. His flying save from that header in the first half was outstanding.
Blimey, that was awful. Anyone saying otherwise is deluding themselves.
For me, a game of 2 loanees. Famewo looks like he could be a superb loan. Strong, committed, he really looks the part. Prepare for him to be taken back in January.
As for the other one, Levitt, oh dear. All show-boating 40 yard passes which were overhit and never once went to one of our players. The free kick at the end was pitiful. He might play for Man Utd but he is going to be no use to us unless he cuts out all the Hollywood stuff.
Good to see Ben Amos having a really good game. I just don't get the criticism he has had on here - can only say lots of people have short memories as he was outstanding when on loan a couple of years ago and he will serve us well in this League.
Let's hope in 2 weeks time we have a completely different team out. Because unless LB gets 3 or 4 quality players in, including 2 forwards, we really are going to be looking at the bottom of the table rather than the top.
We were very very poor in attack - midfield and the forwards. Aneke and, to a lesser extent, Maddison improved things somewhat but not by enough.
We desperately need strikers adding to the squad but there are issues further back. We have lots of midfielders who will be neat and tidy and keep things ticking over but we lack dynamism. Gilbey is a miss as he can carry the ball past players. Levitt has potential to pick a pass but his range was well off. Teams can double up on Doughty at the moment and neither Otzumer or Williams are getting tasking games by the scruff of the neck. I think there is room for at least one more signing in midfield. A it resting on Maddison and Gilbey both being successes right now.
Back line was shakey for half the first half but solid enough otherwise. Room for reinforcements for sure though. Pratley actually looks pretty decent in there but we will need his bite in midfield at times. Akin looks good to me, he’s no Sarr with his passing but looks fast and strong. Both full backs were fine defending but it’d be great if we can add pace and real overlapping attacking intent on both sides.
That wasn't pretty. No cohesion at all but we didn't lose and work in progress. Aneke made a difference. Thought Amos was good. Now to get reinforcements in and two weeks to try and gel. Maddison will get fit has plenty of talent. Can LB maximise the potential?
Let’s be honest there is a chronic lack of funding in this team for years and what Gallen and Bowyer have done is miraculous. We need to give this a season of patience or so. Still far too many comings and going’s free transfers left right and centre. Good point and lots of hope for the medium long term. We will just need to maybe deal with the weekly frustrations for a period of time.
I think that we might have to lower our expectations for this season. All the other teams were half way around the track before our starting gun was fired. Rebuilding from such a low point is a massive job and it may well take more than a season to do.
It's been said before, but the next two weeks will be critical; I'm not sure if we'll be able to shift any of the dead-wood in the squad, but we are desperately in need of some quality recruitments. However, such things are easier said than done, especially with this wage cap business.
We might have to be very patient when waiting for that rock and roll football to come around, but we'll get there in the end, I'm sure.
Chuks has to start. He can't score but he makes things happen for us. Washington anonymous
Oztumer has to go. Had three or four opportunities to put Washington through and failed miserably. Doesn't have the physicality that most midfielders in this league have, so if he can't deliver a killer ball he offers nothing.. Jury still out on Wiiliams. Watson anonymous. Levitt's passing and free kicks awful. Shame as he played well last week. Maddison looked good. We have a lot of midfield players but not as much talent as we thought.
Purrington very exposed in the first half. Pratley was done horribly in the first half but thought he played well considering he is a midfield player. Famewo's long balls were poor, and I thought that was his strength. Amos outstanding.
As others have commented we need around half a dozen new players to come in, and these need to be starters not kids with potential or ageing journeymen. Otherwise its lower half of the table.

played 3 of top 5
would have taken a draw before hand.
now the job of putting a proper squad together for the next 42 games.
our season starts properly in a fortnight.

Score in a brothel,
We couldn’t score in a brothel.

Bonne scores on debut for QPR.
Not bad for "terrible footballer" and "Sunday League standard.
