“I got told he is going to be out for 12 weeks from when he did it,” said Bowyer. “It’s something to do with the tendon in his thigh. It’s an injury we’ve never had before.
Wow, that is a huge blow. I mean you're talking mid to late February, but let's hope Bowyer is right and he might be able to shave a couple of weeks off his return if all goes well...
Doughty and Inniss both 3 months, huge loss, the pair of them.
Well this needs an update... Anyone able to update me on the bits I am missing? I didn't have access to this whilst I was signed off.
Inniss is mid to late February.
Shinnie I believe had a tight groin so came off against MK at half-time. Hopefully he will be okay for the weekend but haven't heard anything. If not, you'd expect it to be soon, definitely this side of Christmas.
Smyth out for another 2-3 weeks after his nasty gash against Ipswich.
Oshilaja is back and training with the squad after his isolation.
Forster-Caskey is back and will get a full week of training this week.
Williams, Pearce, and Famewo, again all training with the squad.
Levitt struggling with his breathing after suffering from COVID-19.
Other than Inniss and Doughty, I believe the majority of the squad is fit or not too far away.
We still would have played made hard work of it, but I'm convinced with those two in we would have picked up more points.
We weren't playing that well during our winning run, but were really tight at the back. 6 clean sheets in October mean you don't need to be brilliant at the other end, which is just as well as we don't have strikers of the class of Taylor and Grant this season
Shinnie’s is obviously worse than we all anticipated, especially me. You would expect him to be around soon, it has been only 3-4 weeks but seems an age ago. Hopefully Accrington Stanley on 8th January, that means another 2 weeks.
Inniss is really no surprise, and we were told 9 weeks with Famewo, which he got injured 2 weeks ago. Again, shouldn’t be any real surprise.
We would definitely have picked up more points had we had Inniss and Famewo as the two centre backs.
5 games they played together, 5 clean sheets.
Since one of them got injured and then both, we have conceded 15 in 9.
Worrying that Bowyer isn't even mentioning Shinnie, for what seemed a relatively minor injury you'd expect regular updates. That we're not getting updates makes me fear that the Charlton injury curse has struck again...

Still have a sneaky suspicion that Bows has an old fashioned mangle out back of Sparrows Lane and if you look at him remotely funny, he puts your good leg through the mangle, if he even suspects you of looking at him funny, it's both of em!
Very annoying about Shinnie. The only central Midfielder we have with excellent close control, attacking focus in driving forwards/passing and an excellent set piece.
Damn. Shinnie was absolutely mustard - just plays football at a whole different pace to everyone else.
Bows is right that he has to be fully fit before he returns. But I hope when he returns its not some slowed phased minutes and he can start off the bat.

Updated table... Think this is about right.
So 13 different players missing at some point during this season, so far...
