Exactly, find it very convenient that the numbers have suddenly gone the other way
To me its no surprise that a lot of cases were detected after xmas /new year. Players are human & I expect quite a few met up with family over that week. It's now a month since xmas so the incubation period is well & truly over.

The EFL can confirm that a total of 5448 players and Club staff from all 72 EFL Clubs were tested as part of last week’s testing programme, with 19 positive cases returned.
A twice-weekly COVID-19 mandatory testing progamme is now in place for all 72 Clubs, with today’s results covering all tests undertaken from Monday 25 to Sunday 31 January. 65 EFL Clubs returned zero positive tests over this period.

Really surprising as there hasn't been a cancelled game due to Covid for a few weeks now, and nationwide the Covid levels have really fallen. It highlights that everyone still has to be careful
After Brentford on Saturday, another 2 Rotherham games are off, Luton tomorrow and Coventry on Saturday. Their second outbreak of the season, causing games to be postponed, they're already 2 or 3 games behind the other teams in the division
Rotherham United have recorded 25 positive Covid-19 cases in the latest week of testing.
The English Football League said 25 positive tests had been found among 5,533 players and staff from 72 clubs, with 71 returning no positive results.
The results covered all tests from Monday, 8 March to Sunday, 14 March.
The Millers postponed three fixtures earlier this month after positive tests, but returned to action on Tuesday against Watford.
Manager Paul Warne and first-team coach Matt Hamshaw missed the 4-1 defeat, and Warne will also sit out Saturday's clash at Bristol City while he self-isolates after the latest outbreak.
Assistant Richie Barker took charge and said some players were not fully fit, but had to turn out as the Millers look to make up the backlog of fixtures.

A bad batch of tests that are giving false positives ?
Golfie Jnr showed me the news last night & I said that there must be something wrong somewhere. You simply dont have 71 clubs returning 100% negative tests & 1 club returning 25 positive ones. Statistically it just cant happen.

What I don't understand is that this is their SECOND outbreak, as they had one in December resulting in the Derby and Boro games being cancelled, after one player tested positive and others showed symptoms, so how can they have a second mass outbreak?

All 25 are from Rotherham. Not a single positive test elsewhere.
