I'll put it on this thread as to not voliate the "safe space".

I think there are two main differences between the Bowyer true believers and the Bowyer sceptics.

Firstly how good the players are and secondly how long the poor form has been going on for.

Nah, the slaggers think they know better than Bowyer, his supporters know we don’t.
May I politely request that those who have an unrealistic positive view of Bowyer please refrain from repeating (yet again) those views. They appear on every thread at the moment, so please leave a little room on the site for those of a more realistic nature to hang out.
Thank you in anticipation of your kind support.

    Moderating the board now?!

So criticising the manager means you think you can do better? So I can’t criticise his decision to play Smyth at RWB even though Bowyer himself has come out and admitted it was a bad call?
Of course you can, say whatever you think, it’s an internet football forum not the bloody board room at the Valley. People take this stuff too seriously.

Absolutely. About the same generalisation as you made, but mine was meant to make you smile. I thought yours was as well.

I now realise that you are enjoying wallowing in your own negativity. You carry on. I am positive that Bowyer will take his team into the playoffs and then keep them there.
  • This is fast becoming a competitive  arse kissing contest.

  • I genuinely believed we had it in us after the decent run that we’d be threatening autos , of course the injuries to the centre halves have hurt massively as well as the others but I’m not as confident we’ll turn it back around if they ever return, we have looked appalling for 11 games against some proper shit, something isn’t right and tugging ourselves after a draw against a relegation threatened team in this shithouse league proves how low we are .

Are we maximising the playing staff available, are they performing to their max or have we seen massive regression recently.
All is not well on the playing front .
Excuses are available , just as alternatives are .
in my first 33 seasons of watching Charlton we had 1 season in the third tier , in the last 12 seasons this is our 7th in the third tier , I don’t wanna spend any more of my limited lifetime in this shit show of a league .
Let’s lower our standards even more and just be grateful we might make the play offs , aim low and you won’t miss .

    In Thomas I trust

Really?  He posted the exact same thing on another thread.  I literally copy and pasted it.

Not negative, I’ve backed Bowyer as the right man for the job :)

This is the most  pathetic comment I have read on here lately.

    I once saw a film I didn’t like.
Apparently that means I could go out and make a better film.

I went to a restaurant and the food wasn’t very nice
apparently that means I know how to cook better than the chef.
    Whoooooooooooooooooooosh.

Like the in the know thread if Bows stays on and we get promoted I’d move to name and shame they Bowyer out brigade
So if we don't and continue to defend like dogshit and he gets sacked, we should name and shame those who wanted to keep him in?

I don't think anyone who is suggesting Bowyer out particularly wants to be in that situation, or one of the ridiculous claims that we want to be doing badly to get rid of him. He's a hero for the last few years, but we're on a bad run, and he's reacted to that himself pretty poorly and all the whispers suggest he's losing the dressing room for it. Unfortunately with a change in ownership, management changes are always pretty inevitable at some point to get their own men in, and this seems to be going that way.

If the comeback tonight ignites a change in his philosophy to go a bit more attacking and on the front foot etc, everyone would be delighted. I'm not going to get too excited about a draw with Rochdale at home in isolation though, but we will see.
I dunno.. I've been labelled a Bowyer Apologist a good few times now so its maybe only fair that the label gets dished back :)
I was apparently a Nimer Apologist and now it turns out I'm a Bowyer Apologist, but I ain't changing for no one
Good point, has Nimer come up with the money yet?   :-)
What side on Nimer fence you on today?

    ;)

If I were a conspiracy theorist type of guy I'd think he was trying to lose on purpose.

Oh come on, you’ve been supporting the club long enough to be above such nonsense surely?

Think all this Vitamin D everyone is taking is turning them delusional

Maybe that's the problem. Bowyer is overdosing on VitaminD.
I said if I were a conspiracy theorist guy (nutter). I'm not, so I don't.
Then I hope he’s taking vitamin K2 with it.

He's still upset about Bowyers Hackney Marshes comment then
  • not sure why a guy who hasn’t scored a goal in a professional league since 2015 is sticking his nose in.

Don’t think you can accuse Gilbey of not putting a shift in. He’s not playing well but he’s been working hard enough. The fight in the second half Tuesday showed the players still generally working hard which is a massive positive.

football? do you rate washington? and do you think bowyer is pulling out of his lunacy phase ?that should be enough hot topics to get us started

Thus all this means that Smyth at RWB was a good decision according  to his supporters and to criticise makes one anti Bowyer.
Not seen such an accusation since the Soviet Union collapsed.
It maybe better to read the whole thread before making a comment that makes you look a bit stupid. 😬 If you do bother you will see that my comment was made in jest 🙂
  • Should probably have a moratorium on the “Bowyer Out” stuff pre match on match days (get stuck in post game if needs be!).

  • Apologies. I have just been whooshed haven’t I.
  • not sure why a guy who hasn’t scored a goal in a professional league since 2015 is sticking his nose in.
Well that rules all of us out as well
