It is interesting what he's saying now. At this point, it's up to Sandgaard whether he wants to start over with the players or the manager. It's clear that it has to be one of those things, or even both. If you've got a team of players who just don't really care then it's difficult to bring in a new manager and hope that the players decide to care, because how long until they lose interest again if they don't like the tactics or the style of management? It's not like these are brilliant players that we can't afford to lose. Big clear out in the summer is coming, which means the rest of the season is going to be a slog if these players can't be bothered.
I’m full expecting some kind of statement on behalf of the players (Pearce?) after that barrage of shite Bowyer just threw at them. It is now plainly obvious that he has totally lost the dressing room.
Look, he hasn't lost the dressing room. Incredible how people can even think it!
It's possible, Mutts - we come on to the pitch via the hospitality area so maybe he has lost the dressing room, or has forgotten where it is.
Said ot Tuesday, I really don't know why we cannot have our own dressing room, ffs it feels like we're the away team and not the home team. Surely all the other teams get to keep their dressing room
Wow. Just feckin wow. Before I get started on that pie eating fat fuck of a ref, That 1st half was aweful. We become a very shite football team, no tactics, except lump the ball upfield. That was it. Smash it up top and hope it sticks. Reminded me of Australian rules football, just kick and hope.
Millar was poor, but I'd give him the benifit as he's young and he's been brilliant for us. DJ was totally crap. Can't see why we paid good money for him. As for the rest, they are playing with zero confidence and also looked like they didn't give a toss.
I knew we were bang in trouble right before the kick off, we had 4 players around the centre circle still trying to work out what their roles were, you could see the confusion between them.
Pratley celebrated his 100th game with us by getting the clean bath water before anyone else. It was a red. No doubts, he knew what he was doing. The second pen was so feckin soft I've had harder Mr whippy ice creams. But Watson made Mr blobby make a decision. And it was always going to be against us. Stupid.
Chuks' red looked dubious too, replays did show him leading with an elbow, again, that was only gonna go one way.
Insipid, Weak, Meek. That was Charlton today.
One other thing thats bothered me all season, Why are we using a club room in the west stand for changing rooms?
We are at home. We have a good change room. OUR players should be walking out of the tunnel, seeing the signage and history blazened along the walls. I know that may seem trivial to some here, but it's ALL about mentality. It's mental preparation. You walk down the tunnel to go to feckin war.
Finally, I don't think LB can come back from this.
I'm so done with it all I actually want Bowyer to stay. I was saying months ago thay he should go but lots on here said give it time , wait for Famewo & Innis to come back, wait for the transfer window to open. We will soon go on a run. Blah blah blah
So it's all down to you lot. I resigned myself weeks ago we weren't going up & now not even getting into the play-offs. Now it's your turn to suffer. You wanted it this way so no point complaining now.
Fucking hell. Listening to Bowyer is embarrassing. Now digging out Washington for not complaining about being out the side.
That wasn't what he said. He was saying that Washington's performance wasn't forcing him to put him back in the side.
No, he said he should be screaming at him to put him in.
In the context of the sentence, that was almost certainly a metaphor.
Well maybe. But you said he didn’t say that. So it is what he said then? And even if it was metaphorical, he’s still digging out an individual.
No, you said "Now digging out Washington for not complaining about being out the side." That suggests he was complaining about Washington's attitude in training, not what he was doing on the pitch.
Ali, I don’t really want to argue with you. I think we’ve just interpreted what he said differently. I took his comment to mean “He should be banging on my door complaining about being out of the side” You took it to mean “He should be doing more to show his quality in training” Either way, he clearly isn’t communicating properly because we can’t agree on what he said or meant!
Not a good Charlton team performance. Was that fella running about in black the twelfth Blackpool player? I feel sure he washed his white and orange shirt in the dark wash during the week.
Haven't read this thread yet but playing washington ahead of chucks - who has been on tghe bench 2 games running now - is a sackable offence on its own - playing pratley week in week out is another and leaving him on in the second half despite making 4 changes is another - my son said to me at the start of the second half 'how long til pratley gets sent off?' then he did. And then bowyer has the cheek to bemoan losing chucks for 4 games - he's been on the bench for the last 2!!!!!!! unbelievabley poor management and i believe he now wants to be sacked.
Even if you agree, bowyer throwing the players under the bus isn’t going to get him a positive reaction is it?, if he feels he can’t do anything with them and make them better as he says, he may aswell walk and give someone else a go so’s not to damage his reputation.
The only way he would walk is if he is as loyal as some claim he is. I don't blame him for not walking given the amounts involved, but it isn't out of loyalty.
No,I was being a little bit flippant. I don’t expect him to walk and I’m not saying he doesn’t deserve a bit of a pay off. Like I’ve said before the proof of his loyalty would have always been if a better offer was there for him elsewhere. However I think he’s pissed on his own chips where that’s concerned.
All very depressing. God knows why, but I look forward to the matches, even though we’re so poor. Somehow keep expecting an improvement. Maybe a little luck too. No chance of course.
And the final dagger to the heart was Curbs saying 7th is the highest league placing in the club’s history.
Them quotes are something else. Quite literally inexcusable. I don't think other than Fraeye a manager has deserved to be sacked more than this? Bad performances ok but the level of delusion and bitterness in those comments. I'm off the fence completely, he has to go, whether it's now or next season.
Let himself down big time and comes across as a desperate man, fast losing the respect I have for him.
Play a settled side. Play the best players until they need a rest, then rotate as needed. Stick with a formation that suits the players so understandings can develop. Why is that so difficult?
Well.... My normally placid daughter tried to get me to take her in the car to the Valley so we could shout at the ref. Appalling ref. Not fit for Sunday League. Nor was I impressed by Blackpool's Palace-esque approach to contact. Dive for the second penalty and over reaction on both sendings off. That said, neither of those are why we lost today. We lost today because we were terrible. And we remain terrible. And sadly I don't think anyone in the management team have an idea of how to stop us being terrible.
The only one that comes out of this with any credit is TS. He put in place a new management, scouting structure, and went with stability. He bought the players he was asked to buy Schwartz & DJ plus loans in.
In a business he knows nothing about, he's now got to decide what is going wrong, why and who is responsible.
WTAF! Blames everyone except himself you bloody signed those players
Also not true - Maddison and Mathews (maybe Bogle) were free agents but we paid fees for Gilbey and Washington and Innis was at Palace the other signings were all loans
Watson and Gunter, who he gushed over saying he wanted both of them last summer!!!!!
They are his players though - he signed most of them.
Does that mean they shouldn't care
Of course not. Every player should care, that’s is the bare minimum we should expect from a player. But they clearly don’t want to play for the manager.

And Matthews we had here last season and was training with us in pre-season before signing so it's not as if he was a deadline day act of desperation either.

But at the same time if he was as good as we all felt after last season, why was he still out of contract when we did finally get him?
If there is going to be a mass clear out in the summer and that is the reason we are playing so poorly then why don't we stop playing players who won't be here then even if it means taking a chance on U23s.
It can't get any worse, at least we might go down fighting (which is the minimum we ask).
Just 3 points from me as I'm too depressed to comment further.
1) Pratley should never play for this club again. What he did today was ridiculous.
I still can't believe how many people were praising him to high Heaven after the MK Dons game. To me, he's contributed nothing for months - when we attack he inevitably slows the play down or plays the ball back and we lose all momentum. And he is simply a red card waiting to happen at the moment.
And yet Bowyer has played him in every game this season apart from the Northampton and the ones where he was suspended.
2) I'd genuinely like to know what all those calling Schwartz a dud think of Jaiyesimi. He surely can't be as bad as he has looked in these last 2 home games? Can he?
If Bowyer has pushed Williams out for this young man, it looks a crazy decision at the moment
3) Albie Morgan must be sitting at home tonight laughing his head off. I can just see him texting his close friends at the club with a stream of laughing emojis.
Bowyer clearly doesn't like him and proves the point by bringing in a young Matt Smith who looks lost. Again abysmal management.
Surely TS is on the phone at the moment to a replacement manager ?
DJ is a good example of Bowyer not knowing what he’s doing. In two games against us DJ was outstanding and caused us all number of problems. Under Bowyer he looks a non league player. Who is that down too eh?
Comments
This isn’t going to end well is it?
Surely all the other teams get to keep their dressing room
If you dont care about your job, can you say that anything your own Manager could do to change your mindset?
Wtf is going on?

Otherwise why did he make 4 changes at Half Time?

Sack him before it gets ugly Sandman
