You know what, Johnnie Jackson might just be alright. Age on his side. Good relationship with the players. Speaks really well. Tactical nous unknown though.
Don’t get carried away with the emotion of tonight. It’s just too early for JJ in my opinion. Would really hate it going wrong for him and tarnishing his true legend status. Go somewhere else JJ and cut your teeth and then you never know.
I'm not sure, he dosnt have the look and tone of a man that's ready to jump ship
Reckon he'll wait and see if he's wanted here first
If the new man doesnt want to keep him then wouldnt blame him for going
Wont be surprised if Sandgaard is clever enough to ensure he stays as a fans favourite, he'll see the comments on social media this evening and will see the love that we have for Johnnie
I mean I bloody hope not but don’t think Sandgaard will offer him the job and would imagine Bowyer would want him. I’d rather he stayed and was offered the job though
I think JJ would be better of staying with us in some capacity if he gets the opportunity and then look at number one jobs in division two. I think heading off to Brum could be a bad career move. My gut tells me that’s a disaster waiting to happen.

Yeah it doesnt feel like a club thats being ran very well from the very top - Would be like stepping back in time for Jackson, he's had to deal with more shite from owners than anyone else involved with Charlton so doesnt deserve to be put through that again.
Am surprised an opportunity at Colchester has never arisen, would be a perfect place for him to start surely?
Does JJ see being no.2 at Birmingham a step up in his career?. if TS gets someone else in and makes sure JJ stays would he be happy with that?. Does Jackie feel he needs to be manager now?. There was definitely a positive reaction from the players towards him after the game. I’m not sure the timing is right at the moment for him and would hate to see things go tits up for him at charlton? Because he is genuinely liked.
The taking 2 + 2 and probably counting to 5 from me tells me that JJ is not his man. They had a brief convo Monday lunchtime and that’s it, nothing since. Sandgaard since then has done various interviews so definitely has had capacity. I’m very surprised he hasn’t spoke to JJ today, not even a good luck for tonight call.
If he was in the mix to be the man you invest your three-year strategy on, there would have been more than a Monday lunchtime quick chat, wouldn’t there?
However, the longer JJ is ‘in post’ and stars align (comeback win, player effort, social media support), the more viable an option he becomes. And if he continues to do well and then Sandgaard puddings him, that’s then starting a new chapter not in the way he envisaged.
Personally if he’s got someone lined up I hope it’s announced before Saturday. Otherwise I think I’d like JJ to be given to the end of the season and then do a proper reassessment in the two months ahead.
Is there any real evidence that JJ and LB are inseparable twins? They seem completely different characters to me.
I think Jacko either gets the gig (with maybe Curbs upstairs) or he takes a management opportunity in the lower leagues. If a new ‘known’ manager comes in for us it is highly unlikely, and almost unheard of, that Jacko will stay. They always bring their own in with them.

Especially as while Bowyer is a fan favourite up there, Jacko will just be that Charlton bloke who's his assistant. I don't think it's an attractive enough job to go to as a number 2
I just got the impression that Curbs has been spoken to. His comments about how many players would soon be out of contract. About the new guy coming in, needing a couple of weeks to get to know the players and therefore it would be better to give it to Jacko until the end of the season. I wouldn't be surprised if Thomas has sought his advice and sounded him out about whether he'd be interested in taking the job, if not straight away, praps at the end of the season.

I guess it depends on whether the new man has a "team" that comes with him
The Cowleys obviously are a duo, but not all managers have an assistant that faithfully follows them. It won't be Howe, but it's notable that Tindall is now building a career away from him

Johnnie Jackson will be the next messiah.
There’s loyalty and then there’s loyalty.
