    I doubt we’d have a chance.

A name that hasn’t been mentioned is George Dobson. Was at Wimbledon last season and has been released by Sunderland. Good young defensive midfielder, Wimbledon have offered him a deal but think he’s going elsewhere.
I did mention him at the start of the thread .

Was impressed when he played for Walsall and I think it is significant that Wimbledon's form improved after he signed .

Bowyer was after him in the January window but he opted to see out the season with Wigan. He was good in the game at the DW, caused us all sorts of problems.
  • Very good player at this level, would take that

Scott Fraser would be an amazing signing... tore us a new one this season
In the 1st game he did, pratley sorted him in the second to be fair.
He did, but bringing Pratley in just to stand next to one player for 90 minutes is a complement to Fraser’s ability in itself.
Isn’t that called tactics? And it worked, he was in pratleys pocket. If Fraser was that good he should have found a way to show his ability no matter what shouldn’t he?

Just cause he had one very good game against us does not make him a must signing .. what did he do rest of the season ??
  • I think it was @SoundAsa£ that said we were intrested in him in March

Tbf Pratley has had Ezi in his pocket and look what he achieved

Yes I was eluding to the same point. He was very good in that game, but disappeared in the second game. Not saying he’s a bad player.

Absolutely, for the record I’m not saying Fraser is a bad player. I wouldn’t be unhappy to see him play for us, but I wouldn’t be expecting a world beater either!, just hoping😜 not that we should need world beaters in league 1.

I think you're underestimating Pratley here Paul. Pratters would of relished that challenge to man mark him out the game, using all his tricks, guile and vast experience to nullify him. There wouldn't be any league 1 midfielders who'd beat DP in that scenario.
Yes Oz that was my point really, the onus was on Fraser to be able to produce with pratley hounding him. Pratley  was superb that night so I was definitely not underestimating his play.

    Will is a friend's son.

I have actually taken him (when he was younger) to a couple of Man City V Charlton games. Unfortunately Eddie Firmani didn't play in either.
  • Was hoping we’d put in a cheeky offer for Kane but after his last two performances for England, we should look elsewhere.

I wouldn’t be happy with Sterling either.

Players like Sterling need players around them with movement and who make runs. It’s about quick passing in tight positions. Yesterday England had no movement apart from Foden and Mount. On that basis we should only be interested in both of them.

Wigan have signed Max Power today to follow up the signing of Cousins yesterday… they could be a real problem next season

… and it’s means that ‘spotty kid on Twitter’ that everyone was knocking is at least 25% right so far 👍🏼
I don’t rate him at all and neither did the Sunderland fans the last two seasons .
Cousins and Power …..blimey can you imagine reaction if we brought them !!!!!

Would not worry to much about Wigan if this is the level of player there getting
    BOUGHT !!!!!!!!!!
They haven't bought either of them have they?  They have however brought them in.
just no - happy to have the discussion - depends how bored u r

    YOU !!!!!!!!!!
    ARE !!!!!!!!!!

Also, while we're policing grammar; incorrect use of hyphens. You should have gone for, 'Just no. Happy to have the discussion, depends how bored you are.'
Brought/bought isn’t policing grammar, it’s highlighting stupidity? a bad education? I’m not sure exactly what but it’s not grammar.

I'll tell you what a bad education is.  It is one that makes the student think that spelling is more important than meaning and that literacy is an indicator of intelligence.
That's just an assertion without any evidence to support it.

Mmmm......I think that’s a case of gross oversimplification.

As someone who recruited for many years, literacy was an important factor in selecting candidates, it was hard to access a candidates skills if they didn't pass the initial grading of the application forms and get invited to an interview.

I'd of thought not correcting someone for using an incorrect word is bad teaching.

What has any of this to do with transfer rumours?
We could always go back to JFK.

We won’t make a move for a keeper until Amos sorts his future out .. you can always pick up a keeper
  • Bonham  would be good.

    Fast arms and feet.
