Not too much to be read into the result, but never bad to win and some good stuff played at times. If this was a squad that has downed tools tonight is when it'd be most apparent, but no sign of it from where I was watching.

Have we qualified for the Inter Toto Cup now?1

Enjoyed that again.Dobson to me looks like he has something about him. Wouldn’t have him ahead of Arter (if Fleetwood Arter turns up), but think he is only going to develop. This is not critical of Morgan at all, as he played some lovely balls, and was very solid, but again this match showed that he is not a number 10. All his best work was done deeper on the pitch, he never seems to pop up with the ball in between the lines like Lee does.5

Who against or when I don't have the faintest but it was a sunny dayOggy Red said:
The 17 year old Bob Curtis wonder goal?charltonbob said:
I think he actually scored from about 65 yards. A free kick well in our half, no idea who against though.Addick Addict said:
Bob Curtis has to have scored most as a full back. He was, in my opinion, our best ever penalty taker and did play at CB as well but I do remember him once scoring from about 35 yards at home. Think it might have been against SouthamptonOggy Red said:
Mark Reid was our regular penalty taker.ForeverAddickted said:
Impressive stats from all three... Just checked Wiki so might not be accurate but:addick1956 said:
I know. Mar Reid scored a few though. Kinsey also but left wing before switching. Hewie maybe ?addick1956 said:
No that was the guy who scored a hat trickForeverAddickted said:
Must be the most prolific Full-Back we've ever had?Jonniesta said:Our purely defensive left back adds a goal to his assist
on his debut or Mark Reid.
Mark Reid (15) | Brian Kinsey (19) | John Hewie (37)
Brian Kinsey scored most of his goals as a left winger.
John Hewie played every position for Charlton - including goalkeeper, although he didn't score many in goal.
I believe it was against Middlesbrough in a 2-2 draw at The Valley, October 1967.
If I've muddled my opponents slightly, then it was otherwise against Carlisle Utd, another 2-2 draw - both games at The Valley, only a couple of weeks apart.
Definitely October 1967 though.
