    We won.

Dead cat bounce or dawning of a new era?

Only time will tell but seemed a different mentality from the gaffer and from the players today.

  • Superb performance, i thought every single one of them worked their socks off.

I think Adkins might be a bit pissed off if he watched that today. The desire and effort considering it was the same players aside from Dobson was like chalk and cheese to recent games.

PWR. It's just so great to see a result to be proud of on Final Score. I'm so sick of us looking like fools.

Johnny Jackson is the League One Ranieri.

Jackson knows that we're not feeling connected to the players, so he tells Dobson to do the interview I reckon.

    George seems a good lad.

Promising signs but not to get carried away on one performance. It was only Sunderland who rarely give us a proper game.
2nd in the league with a game in hand over the leaders

Always loved that white shirt with the red sash across it.
  • We do to Sunderland what the Spanners always do to us.

It’s quite simple for me - Jacko wins games. Jacko keeps the job.

By definition today is a pretty good start. I will bite someone’s hand off for 20th at the moment so we can reset and go again next year. Every three points is massive so well done all!
If we get a run of performances together like this one ...... looking back at 20th place will soon be a distant memory.

Dobson on CTV with a little dig at Lee Johnson for letting him go
Or ..... for not giving him a proper chance?

    Outstanding.

First time I've watched us for ages. First time I've wanted to.
    Jackson ,as expected didn't disappoint.

We were well on top for most of that which is miraculous in itself.
Standouts for me were Dobson and Famewo, but everyone put a shift in.

    Long may it continue.
    Jacko in!

And Matthews and Purrington and starting Washington…and a different formation and tactic (high press)

I think the changes were key

    This.

I get that they probably fell out with Adkins and whatever.

But I hate that the players get away with throwing a season away like they have been doing.

What a great battling win.  I'm not overly shocked by the performance to be honest.  Delighted for Jacko.  Give that man a permanent deal!!!
  • That was a brilliant reaction to all the shite we have been dished up lately, well done JJ & Euell you got them all playing for the shirt,Sunderland never made it easy for us,but we just battled on & never gave up,was nervy as anyone of us last 10 but we never stopped, never lost our heads to the niggly dirty stuff going on either…great stuff boys,is today the turning point, who knows but keep playing like that & we give ourselves a chance to pull away to safety & consolidate this season then Jacko takes us forward to the Championship in a couple…

oh by way, well done the supporters who made it up there, you lot are the only ones I heard,u played it perfectly as the 12th man…

    JJ Red & White Army…

    🎸 clean sheet win 🎸
