Totally unrecognisable compared to anything we’ve seen this season. We looked well organised, dangerous on the break and everyone gave there all. A well deserved win on the day, more of that and Jackson gets the job.8

Of course the three points are important but it was the manner that we got them that meant more. There is a core willingness to battle and we got it today. Well played team, management and fans. Brilliant.33

A heat map and average position of each player would be really interesting for today's performance2
-
To be fair to Johnson that to me is a nailed on penalty it’s a shot on target almost certain goal and pearce arm is raised although not knowing a lot about it…1

Safe to say that wasn't better than sex for Lee Johnson

It’s only one performance, but you have to wonder what the hell has been going on, and why?25

At worst, this lineup should be top 1/2 of the table if not close to top 6. Stunning that we were in the drop zone.3

Lee Johnson is the biggest twat in League One and it makes today's victory all the sweeter.46

Much more like it. Great performance. Every one of them. Feels nice to feel something again after the inept performance's this season. Looking forward to next Saturday and a trip down to the valley for Johnny's first home game. COYRs!!!2

We need to find that connection again.
The players should always come up to the penalty box to show their appreciation wherever we are.
Curbs always demanded it.
Best post of the day to @Oggy_Red

Purrington and Leko as wingbacks in a midfield of Dobson, Lee and Gilbey 5
Washington and Stickkey up top.22 -
Football is a funny game.
I never thought the team weren't actually not trying for NA - I just thought they were totally inept. But change the manager and not only does the effort go up but the team plays with a huge amount of ability and talent.
If only NA had realised that playing with 1 up front was never going to work with Stockley as our main striker. Thank heavens it only took JJ a couple of minutes to decide to go with 2 up front.
Huge credit to everyone in the team today but special credit to Dobson - there's a player there so God knows why NA never gave him a chance; Pearce - the old war horse was superb after coming on as sub, particularly playing on his wrong side; and Leko - unplayable at times going forward but also putting the effort needed defensively.
Happier times ahead.6 -

Well done to Euell too. I think we have a great management team in the making.15

Bravo chaps. You put on a super team performance that we’ve always known was possible. Well managed Jacko. Onwards and upwards me thinks. Hurrah!
Now I am really starting to look forward to the next match for a change. Now for the celebrations to start in Valencia!

My Sunderland mate at half time:
We came back into it a bit but too much faffing about ! You don’t look like a team in bottom 3
And at full time:
Must say you deserved something from the game but the ref was awful for us. Well done, hopefully that will spur you on to climb the table. You are definitely our bogey team but you played us well and don’t tire 👍

He couldn't prevent the goal as Stockley's header was too powerful - but a a deliberate handball, actively attempting to prevent a goal by cheating.
Red card offence but not even a caution. Lucky for him the referee turned a blind eye.

Would have been happy with just that performance. But a win as well.. brilliant. Leko MOM for me. He caused so many problems for their defence. Even when they doubled up on him, he kept trying and his head did not drop. What a difference a few days can make.Hope we can build on that for next 2 games. If JJ can get a result in these then the job is his.2

Can anyone find this headbutt?3

Lee Johnson should buy a mirror.
Then remove his trousers and pants and squat over the mirror and look down at it.
Because it is from what he sees there that his words are coming from.
No handball from Pearce, if it was his hand and not his face it was from a ball driven into him from minus no inches.
As for Stockley (who had a great game), what you see there Mr Johnson was a good old fashioned big centre forward having a battle with his marker where the fouls were about 50/50, where maybe a couple more were given against Stockley than should've been given because we were playing away.
Enjoy your yellow card fine Lee.18 -
That was a Charlton performance - left everything on the pitch.5

Mate is a Sunderland staff member . He said we should had a player sent off after 30 seconds for an off the ball incident , they should have three penalties , but he did say all of ours played lie their lIves depended on it

Bias obviously but was the ref that bad for Sunderland? Haven't seen the alleged headbutt that their manager refers to. I thought Stockley was penilised everytime virtually even when clearly his shirt was being pulled9
-
Did Johnson say anything about the handball from their centre half who punched the ball away between Stockley and Pearce?
Did he say anything about the handball on the line to try and stop Stockley’s goal?
Both deliberate handball.
Thought not.27 -
