Any advice from anyone whose been up to Buck House / Green Park last couple days ?
Guess I am too late but we queued straight down The Mall. I reckon it would have been quicker on the other side of St James Park which appeared to be a side queue but obviously can't be certain as we didn't queue for a second time!
If you are taking kids make sure they have some water with them and have been to the loo! My little girl was hopping by the end..
Can't get the Paddington sketch out of my head, especially the teaspoons on the cups, nor that smile in those pictures on Tuesday. Never known any different, today was conducted so well, now I'm getting the period of mourning, no-one can think of anything else.
Do find the way the rest of the world has reacted incredibly moving. Shows just how special The Queen was and admired the world over. Wife took my boys up to Buckingham Palace today to pay their respects.
They should have gotten a bigger table for Charles to sign the Proclamation he got perturbed twice with the side about stuff in his way not a good PR move on his first big event.
The pens and ink were very badly placed making it difficult to sign one of the most important documents in the King's life.
Unfortunately I have seen people trying to suggest his sense of entitlement, when trying to get the objects moved out of the way. Sad to see people making political points out of it.
Same.
Can't understand the issue, such an important day, it's not an issue to me that he seemed to basically saying can these be moved somewhere please rather than searching around for a place he can move them to etc.
People determined to make something out of not much.
It’s been quite striking watching the news over the weekend just how many millions have felt the desire to do something and go somewhere to show some respect. And the most encouraging thing for me is just how many children they’ve been. Just watching two young teens being interviewed on the news and speaking so articulately about about coming together, celebration of her life, respect etc…
Last couple of days have given me real hope for the future in terms of generally values and direction of the UK.

It's good to see he is human and takes umbrage at the sorts of things any of us would if we, like him, have had probably 2hours sleep in the last 24 hours. It's good to see a flash of the Prince Philip too! Hopefully Charles will have a few "Philipisms" up his sleeve in the years to come.
Having had a quick look outside Buckingham Palace on Friday afternoon when it was busy, but for example St James's Park was as per normal, I wandered over this evening after the cricket to get the atmosphere. Absolutely packed, with an hour long queue (this evening at 7:30pm) through the Park to reach the palace.
Will post boxes have to be replaced? the ones with ER on…
One of the many, many things I've learned from BBC radio over the last few days is that stamps would normally be replaced, but the new king has specifically asked the Royal Mail not to replace any they've already had printed. So we'll still be getting stamps with the Queen's head for quite a while.
We all went up today, kids picked some flowers from our garden and we jumped on a train to Victoria
so many people, we were told the Palace queue was at least 2 hours so made our way across the Mall and down towards green park, had an ice cream and just watched the crowds and horses etc and wandered around.
lay our flowers by the queen mums memorial as there was just no way we were getting any closer. The missus had been on a 12 hour night shift at the QE and hadn’t been to sleep and whilst the kids wanted to go they didn’t fancy the queue.
glad we did go though, the eyes of the world are on the UK and Buckingham Palace and genuinely - no one does things like this better. A little part of history and really glad we went up
I believe the Matterhorn image is actually from April 2020, was originally done for the Covid outbreak. But has been reposted on Twitter and attributed to Her Majesty’s passing.
North of Wellington there is a park where a “corgi day” was arranged and owners brought their pets - around 30 - to celebrate the Queen’s love of her dogs.
Did King Charles nick the pen requiring William to ask for another?
William is left handed like my good self. You cannot use a fountain pen if you are left handed as you will smudge the ink. William was handed normal pen to write with.
Isn’t a fountain pen a normal pen? I always felt sorry for lefties at school as they always looked so uncomfortable writing away at their desks.
There seems to be an effort being made to dissuade people from the lying in state and perhaps think about paying respects in another way. The length of queue that's being talked about is simply going to be impossible for a lot of people.
Will King Charles have to crown Prince William in Wales now that he has made him Prince of Wales?.
No, although that doesn't mean he won't. There's no need for a ceremony and most princes of Wales through history didn't have one; they just got the title when the King/Queen announced that they were being given it. If they do decide to do a ceremony, it would surely have to wait until after the Coronation, by which time William will have been doing the job for almost a year. So I suspect if there's a ceremony it will be very quiet, and it has to be likely that they won't bother. But no-one really knows, as it's entirely up to the King what he chooses to do.

Did I hear correctly today, regarding the tour the King will embark on, the prime minister has to accompany him?

Must've missed it the first time round
If anyone's looking at that government website and thinking maybe they'll sign the books of condolence instead, here's a handy list of locations:
