I hope you're doing the housework while the wifes out.
Up here now. Did green park and then the Palace. Very well put together. Everyone in good spirits with a very faint sombre undertone.
Back at green park now having a coffee and contemplating...........whether to join THE QUEUE!
If I could spare the time, I'd prefer to get there for say 9am, and queue all day, rather than have to shuffle along for 8 hours right through the night, which would be torture!
The UK government has published a live queue tracker for people to follow on YouTube. According to the tracker, the queue is currently about 4.9 miles long, with estimated waiting times of at least eight and a half hours. The nearest landmark to the back of the queue is Southwark Park.
Bottled it. Got to Bermondsey station and saw people getting off with huge back packs, chairs, pots and pans...the lot All I've got is a small rucksack with half a bottle of water and a pack of haribos!

was there queues for the palace and green park?
None at all at green park. We went at rush hour and getting out of green park station was very straightforward. Then down to the flower displays. From there we headed to the palace. It takes you down past Lancaster house and onto the north side of the Mall where you head away from the palace. You then cross the Mall about half way up. Very small queues here as they have to stop the line to allow vehicles to pass. Then you head back to the palace. Lots of people but moved really well. Had plenty of time outside the palace gates. No rushing of people on.
Must've been a long night, but what a great place to watch the sun come up.
watched it come up when i was doing some filming on Waterloo Bridge a while back. One of those sun rises which was near on perfect as well. Beautiful setting.
